Kathy: On Amy Harmon’s Facebook page, she posted that she read Eden Butler’s Infinite Us and highly recommended it.
The Cornerstone by Kate Canterbary <— MONY LOVED IT!
Mony: Just finished The Cornerstone by Kate Canterbary and loved it! Steamy story about Hot Guy & Sassy Girl as they steer through one night stands into something more. Sassy Girl is great – sharp-witted & a tough nut to crack. H is a great alpha. Loved the slow burn & Hot Guy’s transformation. Banter between h & H is clever and even sharper in second half.
A 4.5-star read (deduction cause too much about h’s family). Plan to read The Spire (#6 in series)…story about Hot Doctor & Rebel Girl. 🙂 Thanks Jan for mentioning this author!

MARYSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Embracing Destiny (The Fae Chronicles #6) by Amelia Hutchins IS LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GASP!!!! I’m adding it now!! 😀
SMH…..
OMG Maryse what are you doing to me? I can’t keep up with the new releases & recs…so many I want to read! I just did the math & for every four books I put on my TBR from your blog, I only have time to read one! (I now read until 2 am) Having now done the math, I think this will end very badly for me. This week was very bad (good)… 🤷♀️🤣
The Hating Season by K.A. Linde
My Favorite Souvenir by Penelope Ward
Where the Lost Wander
Absolution by L.D. Davis
The Billionaire’s Fake Fiancée
Fae Chronicles
LOL!!!! Sorry. 😉 I’m in your boat.
Where the Lost Wander and The Billionaire’s Fake Fiancee and My Favorite Souvenir and Lovewrecked are the ones calling me…
Great list today (again!) Maryse. Thank you.
Mony, I feel your pain. I recently weeded out a lot of books I had old samples of hanging around on my kindle and decided I was never gonna read. Doing well, had it all under control. But now, for some reason in the last few weeks my tbr has EXPLODED! I think my kindle’s gonna blow up with all the new samples of books I wanna try…..
I love some of the cover art and fonts on books up there in the list today, Maryse. Where the Lost Wander, Infinite Us, The Wedding Dress…. so pretty and eye-catching. The cover of Sea of Ruin is unusual and I love it too. Another eye-catcher.
Where the Lost Wander, Finally, My Favorite Souvenir, To My Arrogant Boss and Lovewrecked. I’m such a sucker!! Just completed Mia Sheridan’s duet Where the Blame Lies and Where the Truth Lives. Both 5 stars for me. Brilliant writing. Must be read in order.
I also recently read Mia Sheridan’s duet Where the Blame Lies and Where the Truth Lives and completely agree with Linda….definitely 5 stars. I highly recommend them and I think you would enjoy them Maryse.
I haven’t read these yet??? Okay I have to remedy that.
oooooh YES YES YES!!! I’m halfway through the first one (I was reading it a few months ago). More than halfway I think.
I took a break from it, but I’ll pull it back up. 🙂 Thank you for reminding me.
Happy Wednesday. Rainy today and need a lazy day. I found a tick on one of the kids clothing today while I was doing laundry. 😬 Utterly freaked out!
Book of the Month books are up for May. Having trouble choosing….again. There is Happy & You Know It by Laura Hankin, which wasn’t even on my radar, but it says it’s a quick read with snark and and Mama drama. I like the idea of that. Or, A Good Marriage by Kimberly McCreight and I loved both Reconstructing Amelia and Where they Found Her by same author, but ratings are not quite as favorable as the other two choices which brings me to…The Knockout Queen by Rufi Thorpe. Also, wasn’t on my radar, but sounds emotional and has great ratings. It’s hard bc they each speak to different moods. And I’m all over the place with those. Lol
I’m so happy more are experiencing Where the Lost Wander too! Such an awesome book.
A Good Marriage sounds like my thing!
And eeeeeeeeep to ticks!! Oh they creep me out to no end.
It’s my thing too. I was like, YES that’s the one I’ll get and then I read the other synopsis’s and thought, well, but maybe these are what I need right now. I have 1 book credit so maybe I’ll get 2.
I had a credit from referring someone so I get 2 for free! I love this subscription. Some early releases, no monthly fee, can skip a month, and credits are saving me money. ☺️
OMG The F List is Live early on KU!!!!
I’m reading Linda Howard’s After Sundown and enjoying it so far. I have never read any of her books. It is about a catastrophic solar storm that takes down the power grid. Fitting right now as the town has to survive with limited resources.
Oooooh I love books and movies about stuff like that. Not that I ever want to live that… (but this books always fascinated me). And yes right now, it’s fitting.
With best intentions with my TBR list, I just re-read Rock Chick with Indy & Lee. One of my cozy reads. Just what I needed. Love how Lee & the guys keep pulling their reluctant sassy girls back into their orbit. Good read.
Now reading Fae Chronicles. Turns out re-reading…was 2/3 through first book & recognized a scene. Sigh. In my defence, it was 5 yrs ago & didn’t make much of an impression then. Good news, I love it this time around & it’s like an almost fresh read. 🙂 Thanks Ela!
Good to hear some of you are in a good reading groove. A virtual champagne toast to you! ❤
Music today: Blue Moon by Cowboy Junkies
I’ve just re-picked up a book I started a few months ago. 😀 I’m with you!
I’ve wasted so much time today browsing the internet. So much time. I’ve done nothing productive but laundry and sweeping. I literally just spent an hour making about 15 pic collages of my puppy in several different geese fabrics so I can order some to make him bandannas. And texted all of them to family cuz he’s so handsome and I can’t choose. 🙄 I need sleep. Lol
But was it fun. Did it bring you joy?
😀
It did! I still haven’t decided though, lol.
And then I went on this puppy calculator bc I’ve been having doubts about his true size and then I spiraled down this hole of doubt. See? Emotions everywhere. Turns out Goose isn’t a mini. He is standard and the calculator said he’ll be *gasp* 91lbs as an adult. I just- I just wouldn’t have even taken a second look had he been described as standard sized. And I love him. He has huge potential to be an awesome dog. But, space? And the what if’s freaked me out. He can reach the top of my counters now. He is going to be 12 weeks Friday. My vet said we’ll know more for sure when we see how much he’s gained by the next appt. But, she had big doubts. I even called to double check a week afterwards. I’d like to say it doesn’t matter, and maybe it doesn’t, but maybe it does. Bc we’re not equipped with the room for a horse. I thought maybe knee high, maybe even a little taller and no more than 60lbs. And then I think, maybe gentle giant? And then I keep going round in circles. Right now all I think I can do is love him, socialize, socialize, socialize, as I’ve been, and work on teething and work on him and poor kitty getting along.
Very cool Tasha. Makes me feel better…same deal…redoing old frames and matts for baby pictures. Got lost for waaaay too long in some beautiful weeds…people are just so clever.
I love baby pictures. Love, love, love. Can never have too many. And playing with the mattes and frames is so fun! How is that new grand baby of yours doing? And your daughter?
I’ve had all these frames & matts for ages. Decided I’m just going to just paint them all in different colours …need easy these days.
Mom & babe are doing great. He’s a bruiser at 12.5 lbs at 3 wks old (dad’s 6’5″). Thankfully, dad works from home these days so lots of teamwork. Silver lining to isolation. We’re doing lots of whatsapping, facetiming & zooming…all new to me. Grateful for internet. 🙂
Oh wow, big boy! That’s great for both Mom and baby Dad’s around to help more. Hope things clear up before too long and you get to see him in person.
I’ve painted frames just this year. I love picking my own colors since I can’t find what I want in stores. Cheap and easy!
🙂
Happy Birthday Nay!!

I’m in a bit of a reading rut and only seem to be interested in Jacob Morgan audio books. I just finished my “reread” of Him and now I’m “rereading” Us. Dang he’s swoony.

OMG HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAY!!!!!!! 😀
How are you celebrating today, in this day of strange times. I hope it will still be an awesome one for you. <3
Happy Birthday Nay!!!
Bonne fête Nay!
Have a lovely day Nay. xx
Thank you all!
I’m celebrating by just being happy to be alive. I mentioned on FB that today is also Donor Remembrance Day, so I’m just SO thankful to my donor and his family and that I get to HAVE another birthday
And my boys got me a cake! Which is great too!
YAY NAY!!!! 😀
I’m so thankful to them, too, my friend.
Happy Birthday Nay!!!

I’m watching Normal People on Hulu. Quietly good. Like, it doesn’t just jump out at you, but I like where it’s heading. I saw it’s based on a book some of you have read. Should I be prepared?
Also, HOORAH!!!! It’s the last day of April. *wiggles* I’ve been waiting 100 days for this. Can’t wait to see what May brings. I hope only good things. 🤣
I picked the fabric. 2! One small step for muah… lol.
The orthodontist called to reschedule today. They’re opening things in their practice in phases. And I’m not certain what else that affects me personally is opening. I suppose I’ll find out in the coming weeks.
J’s birthday is in a couple weeks. He’ll be 2. What to get a 2 year old that doesn’t play with anything? 🤔 I’m finally taking the crib down. No one has ever used it but the babysitting kids. Kind of relieved to finally not have baby gear everywhere.
Maryse, I got my butcher box today! 2 rib eyes, pork spareribs, pork loin, 3 huge pkgs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, 6 hamburger patties, and I added 2lbs ground beef because it’s the best I’ve ever had.
Mine came too!!!! IT WAS HUGE because instead of pork chops like last time, they included such a huge pork roast thingie (oh it says Bone-in pork butt) that I wonder how I’m gonna fit it in my crockpot. But I will. And I will turn it into a Mississippi Pot Roast – pork-style. 😉
I also got 2 strip steaks, 3 more huge chicken breasts, 2 lbs of ground beef (and I agree I LOVE them), St. Louis spare ribs, my 3lbs of chicken wings that I get free with every box, and I added on bacon, and 2lbs of wild salmon. 🙂
This box ROCKS
I’m very interested in the wings but they didn’t have that option for me last time. I wish I’d gotten the pork butt! I’m starting to pile up on pork loin and it needs to be cooked medium/medium well so no crockpot for me. Really want some salmon but the hubs wont eat it!
I’m really enjoying these subscriptions. The value is there for sure (I’ve never eaten soooo organic before – even though I “tried” to). All of these new foods are making me branch out and try new things and new recipes. I feel distinguished. LOL!!!!!
Samantha Christy has a new book out today and it is the start of a rock star series. It is called Reckless Obsession. I loved her Perfect Game Series which was about baseball.

An old-school HR by an author I haven’t read before. I’m reading it as my May read for a year long HR challenge in which every month we have to read a book from a certain time period. This one is Tudor/ Renaissance. Fingers crossed it’s good.
I love your monthly HR challenge. Hope you like your book…
Happy Birthday Nay!!
To a healthy and happy year.
