<— Happy Monday everyone!!! 23 early birds just went live including that one to the left which was only scheduled to go live a week or so from now!! 😀 Keep checking back as I’ll add more if we find ’em.
Three Things:
1.) I had a nice Prime Rib Saturday (my favorite – with the au jus) and then watched football (Ravens vs. Titans) on tv and actually followed along! Er… for the most part. I couldn’t understand why – since they were so good at throwing THAT far – they just wouldn’t throw the ball all the way across the field in one fell swoop, to do a goal or whatever they call it. Score. Er… TOUCHDOWN. Right. Yeah. It was explained. That’s not how it works. That’s not how any of that works. 😛 *snort* Sorry guys. But for the most part… I got it. Holy moly YAY ME! Though I’d still rather read. 😉
2.) Speaking of reading, I’m almost done Regretting You and love that we get TWO love stories for the price of one! 😀 I especially prefer the “older” love story ’cause well… HOLY MOLY on that backstory. I’m riveted.
3.) I made my Chinese spaghetti yesterday (sautéed veggies – chopped up colorful bell peppers, celery, mushrooms, carrots, broccoli, onions, and fresh grated ginger) two sliced up chicken breasts all fried up with some oil & soy sauce, and loaded on top of my yummy “skinny pasta” (also fried in oil and soy sauce to give it that awesome asian noodle color and flavor) 😀 I’m so glad I can still enjoy some of my favorite foods with these low carb/no carb substitutes. I made enough to enjoy for a few more meals this week!!

Ugh, football. I can’t even stand the sound of it in the tv. *snort* Glad you were into it though. Back when I tried to be, I’d get so gosh darn frustrated EVERY time they had the ball, it didn’t matter who it was, cuz it’s the same EVERY time, they throw the ball a little bit to one of their teammates and they deliberately plow in to be tackled a yard or two in. I can’t stand it. Do something different! Why can’t they move any farther? Go to the outside? Something.
Your supper sounds AMAZING, btw. I’ve been craving Chinese something fierce for a while now, but I’m holding off since we eat out so rarely, I’m saving it as long as I can. The last time we got it, I had dumplings for the 1st time in my life and I declared them heaven on Earth! *dreamy sigh*
And yay, glad Regretting You is working so well for you!!! I’ve been thinking of that 1 a lot lately. I want to read it, I just want to read 1 or 2 others first. I really have to be in the right mood, ya know?
I don’t even know how they live though that constant tackling… blows my mind!
I DO LOVE Chinese food. All asian food in fact. My favorite is Filipino food and Vietnamese.
And don’t get me started on how much I LOVE Ethiopian. That is my absolute favorites of all favorites.
And Greek.
LOL!!
Maryse–glad to hear you watched us beat up on the Ravens! That game was SO exciting! Hubs and his mom go to all the Titans games (she has season tickets) and she’s already said that if they go to the Super Bowl this year, she’s buying tickets for them and paying their way, no matter now much it costs!
LOL!! And my boyfriend is totally Ravens since he’s from Maryland. *sigh*
He was not very happy. 😉 I giggled.
Tell your Hub that his mom won’t have to purchase tickets for the super bowl. CHIEFS FAN HERE!!!!
My 3 things…
1. I’ve got refried beans in the slow cooker for beef and bean burritos for supper. I have to add beef or everyone will make a big stink about the beans, which are delicious, btw. 😜 I let my son put it all in so he’ll “like” it even more, since he made it.
2. I watched all of Virgin River last night and yup, cliffhangers. Grrrr. I thought maybe google might tell me what happened next since it was based on a book series. No dice. 😒
3. Still working on Sun Down Motel, VERY early in cuz it’s paperback and convenience and all. I’d like to make a commitment to read 1 paperback a month to every other month, since I’ve got some good ones here. And now I’ve signed up for book of the month, so it’s a must.
I’d like to get through a paperback a month too. I’ve got a pile on my blogging desk of the ones I pulled out that I absolutely want to read. Hopefully I DO.
It’s just too convenient to read ebooks though. I can see and read in the dark, I can highlight my favorite parts, my bookmarks and notes are never lost…
*sigh*
But I have some AWESOME print books, and I don’t have them in ebook format so that should fix me. 😉
