HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!! Here are the early bird releases so far, and if I find more I’ll add ’em in. 😀 But first…
THREE THINGS:
1.) YAY!!! The Bucs are going to the Super Bowl, and it’s gonna be here in Tampa! HISTORY IN THE MAKING! Not that I’m going or anything… but I’m thrilled! Also, “history in the making for me” is that the only Super Bowl game that I truly paid attention to (like watched it like a hawk and kind of finally understood football – Bucs t-shirt support and all) and cheered, was the Bucs winning the Super Bowl in 2003. So no, I’m not a football die hard (though I do seem to enjoy it when it’s on), but yes, I AM ALL OVER THIS!!!!! YAY BUCS!!!!
2.) I made an amazing cucumber salad that I can’t get enough of: 3 x cucumbers, 2 pale/skinny stalks of celery – thinly sliced for delicate yet fresh flavor (not needed if you hate celery but I love it), dill (plenty of that if you love it), 2 x tablespoons of sour cream, salt and pepper, olive oil and the juice from 2 fresh squeezed lemons and it’s perfection! Light and salty and lemony and creamy perfection!
3.) My favorite candle scent in the world right now is Bath & Body Works Sweet Cranberry Pie. OMG that is dessert foodie perfection (total light buttery crust smell as well as the tart sweet berry smell), and it’s strong enough to throw through the whole house but has not once gotten on my nerves. And a perfect burn too. I went to order more on Bath & Body Works (it was on the Semi Annual Sale when I bought it) but it’s sold out and that sale is done, however I did find it on Amazon. I will triple up on these when they come back in stock.

Good Morning! I’m definitely trying that salad. Thanks for the recipe!
1. I was also rooting for the Bucs. It’s so cool they’re playing in Tampa! But I’m an Aaron Rodgers fan too and he was breaking my heart last night! 🥺
2. I’m trying this spaghetti squash recipe tonight with air fryer steaks: https://bit.ly/3ahfp9x Fingers crossed it works. I usually don’t like spaghetti squash unless it’s simple with marinara but this looks good!
3. I watched Love Happens over the weekend and bawled (I’m a sucker for a widower!). I’d never even heard of it and it came out in 2009. Now I’m wondering what other romances I missed!
Oh I LOVE anything with steaks, and I too, only ever eat spaghetti squash with spaghetti sauce, so this should be a nice change! I have two spaghetti squashes in my fridge so it’s time to use one.
You know they last months if you store them in a cool dark room. I keep mine in my pantry! I’ll let you know how it is!
This sounds awesome and I have 2 spaghetti squash just laying around in my pantry too 🙂
I always have one available because it lasts forever and really only needs a jar of Raos and some sausage to be fantastic. I don’t know why but I prefer plain ole turkey sausage (link) with spaghetti squash over hamburger or meatballs. Maybe because it holds up to the texture better? And sausage lasts forever too, so it’s nice to always have a “fresh” meal on hand.
Wow, love spaghetti squash recipe recipe!! can’t wait to make it. Thanks!
Happy Monday! Fresh start to a new week. ☺️ I can’t believe is almost February already.
1. Fleece leggings are one of the greatest inventions, ever.
2. I adulted today and installed a new router all by myself. My 1st. I’m a scaredy cat with all things technical so this was a huge step for me. And I put together a dog bed all by myself, with tools! I feel so accomplished. 😂
3. Just spent a lot of time pinning things my girl has made. There’s so much more to do, but I’m trying to get them all loaded before I get the 9,000+ photos off my phone. Remember when I was raving how obsessed I was about creating some denim things? They’re on here, and at the very bottom, are the ones she finished yesterday. Still obsessed with how cute the ❤️S turned out. https://pin.it/5BCtOdZ
She’s been a busy bee! And yes the denim ones are adorable!
Thanks! She really has. I’ve got lots more to upload yet. We enjoy the mommy/daughter/Grandma time we get out of it a ton and I like coming up with fun things for her to try. She’s getting annoyed with my constant ideas though, lol!
Love your girls’ work on pin!!…so great that you’re passing on designing & sewing skills! And she’s so lucky to work with her grandmother too… I love seeing daughters continuing sewing traditions. At my end, my mother sewed our special dresses (prom), my daughter is now sewing quilts…makes me happy🤗
That’s awesome, me too! I’ll need her to hem and tuck mine & the boys pants for years to come so it’s essential someone knows the craft to carry on. 😂
Oh my goodness!! Such cute stuff!
Thanks!
Maryse,
That salad sounds wonderful!! Thanks to you and Robin for the yummy recipes!!
I’m super busy with work and a home project…and the puppy. So, reading has slowed down immensely for me. Hoping to get back in the swing later in February.
Any suggestions for crate training our new pup…send them my way.
We kept our puppy in our room with us and used a snuggle puppy for comfort. It simulates the vibrations and tics of the mommy’s heartbeat. Let him out every 2-3 hours for a while for potty at night and extended that time as he aged. Then, during the day, put him down for naps in there. Just short ones here and there or they’re like over tired toddlers. We always said “bed” and treated him for going in. Lots of positive reinforcement. Mine wasn’t a chewer and was pretty content with nothing but his blanket and stuffies. But you could do a kong or something to keep her busy during the day. Mine also had intense need to be in the same room as us, so he eventually moved out of his crate and was only put in when we couldn’t supervise or left the house. https://www.amazon.com/SmartPetLove-Snuggle-Puppy-Behavioral-Biscuit/dp/B0722XGRMB/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=snuggle+puppy&qid=1611600891&sprefix=snugg&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=AI05SQOHSRAP6&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzTk4zOFRBUENTQTJPJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwOTMyMjQ1MzJHR1hPS1daN1hWUyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNTI4MDU3MlQ1WlJKSDczWklXJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfcGhvbmVfc2VhcmNoX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
Thanks Tasha!! Great suggestions. I’ve looked at the snuggle puppy. Do you think it would help her during the day. I’ve given up on nighttime. She’s perfect sleeping with us. No accidents…and sleeps like a dream. I know I’m a total pushover…but she was losing her mind at night. I just saw the snuggle puppy but wondered if it would help her during the day in her crate….hmmm. I’ll try just about anything right now 🙂 She’s been going to work with me. She’s been good, but I don’t want for it to become an everyday expectation.
I always used it for mine, daytime naps included and he was comforted by it. I literally treat them as newborns when they’re little and I’m big on schedules. So I’d do a routine. Let her out after she eats for breakfast and a little morning play and put her in for 30 min. In a room where she can maybe see you, if it doesn’t keep her up more. Then let her out and play and do a little training session and another nap sometime after lunch. Then let her out and etc. Modify to your schedule, of course. Fill a Kong toy with her if she needs it. There’s lots of fun ideas to stuff them with on pintrest. I’d at least do it a few times a day. And try to incorporate at least a couple times a week where you actually leave the house while she’s in it as well. A quick trip to the grocery or go for a coffee or sit in your car for 15 min down the road. Cuz separation anxiety is real and you don’t want to never be able to leave your dog without worrying about her or a dog sitter or kennel where she may have to be in one.
Tasha, thank you!!! This is awesome!
