HAPPY MONDAY NEW RELEASE DAY!! 15 early birds on todays list including that new one from Melanie Harlow that sounds pretty darn great! I’ll be adding more throughout the day as I find them. 🙂
P.S. BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!!! Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer is up for preorder (at least the hardcover is, the kindle version has the wrong title listed but the right cover??). Either way… OMG!!!! 😳 😱 I’m so excited!!!! ➔➔➔➔➔
“Three Things”:
1.) I planted grass plugs this weekend! Ordered them online (super-cheap shipping despite how heavy the box was). Bald spots in a lawn is a pain so I hope this solves it. 🙂 But either way, it was fun to be outside early in the morning, digging in the dirt.
2.) I watched Fantasy Island & Underwater on Saturday. Liked them both (I’d give 3.5 stars to Fantasy Island – it’s dorky at times, but there was a twist I DID NOT see coming, and I really liked the very ending of it). Of course the whole thing is far-fetched but the whole “you have to let the fantasy play out” mostly always had a pretty decent surprise and lesson.
And while both were thrillers, Underwater had me on the edge of my seat the whole way. An easy 4 stars (maybe even 4.5 stars) for that one. HOLY MOLY that is a total nightmare and is non-stop crazy scary right from the get go!!!! Having to escape a damaged underwater station that is like… 6 miles or more deep. And they have to find the one that might not be damaged, and getting to it (finding in while walking on the floor of the ocean is just terrifying). Movies where I’m lost in space, or underwater are just a HUGE EEEEEEP!!! And notice I said “I’m” because I feel like it’s me when I’m watching a movie this good. I swear I was holding my breath and having anxiety attacks the whole way.
3.) My mom saw a recipe that she thought I’d like. It was the Mississippi Pot Roast. 😉 She knows me well. BTW, that’s what I decided to make yesterday. YUMMMMMY!!!

MIDNIGHT SUN IS COMING!!!!!!!
*thud*
I’ve been trying to get on the website for 20 minutes! Finally saw the tweet!
This is Leslie’s subconscious speaking. She is still passed out on floor in shock. Once recovered will be doing an epic happy dance.
😂😂😂
*I fainted and then my subconscious posted the preorder up there*
Hi! Do we know if this is the entire series through his eyes? Or is it that version she had posted on her website eons ago?
I’m hoping it’s a summary of the whole series…there are sooo many moments I would have loved to be in his head!
I was under the assumption that it was Twilight through his eyes (what she had originally posted)… but that she finally finished it.
OH WOW!! It shows as 672 pages!!!!!!!
I KNOW…that’s why I’m hoping it’s more…;-)
I’ve never actually read the Twilight books or watched the movies. (I know….) *ducks peanuts* So I can’t get that excited about the new one. But I’m glad for all you fans out there. I know there’s a lotta love for those books. It’s just, vampires. Eek! I can barely stand them as side characters in the Mercy Thompson books I’ve been rereading. Don’t think I could take it as MCs. It’s the blood thing. Yecchh.
In other news, I’m excited about the new Susan Fanetti book up there. Didn’t know that one was coming. 😀 She’s a consistently good writer. Clickin’ that one right now.
I’m also looking forward to Lone Star, the new Dartmoor book from Lauren Gilley. She’s announced it’s coming out in May. Hooray! No exact date yet, but soon 🙂 I didn’t like the last one that much, but hopefully this one is back to Dartmoor goodness and forget all that James Bond type spy cr@p.
Me too Jan, haven’t read Twilight or seen the movie. Bit of a scaredy Cat. Don’t like scary movies or books. Watched silence of the lambs, kept hiding behind the couch. 🙈that was at home imagine at the movies. 😂😂
I dont rec them but I’m in the minority. They are not scary at all, definitely nowhere near Silence of the Lambs. I once opened up and read a random page out of the sequel to Lambs and I’ve regretted it since and that was over a decade ago.
I think I read the Twilight series because a friend did, but I hate the heroine and you are stuck in her head the whole time. She gives YA heroines a bad name.
There is absolutely nothing scary about Twilight. Mysterious, romance, glorious romance, some fighting and stuff, but well.. Maybe in the last one there’s a scene, but I’m talking movies. I haven’t read all the books. There’s some tensions when stakes are high in the movies, but I can’t do scary anymore. I really can’t, and I think it’s very mild. Nothing like that one with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. I would even say Vampire Diaries is more vicious in scenes. Though I absolutely love that show.
I did read Twilight series. There were parts I really enjoyed. However, as a whole, I didn’t rate it that highly. I think it’s because there were other PNR Fantasy series I felt were better than this one…Sorry. 🙁
Perhaps I’m lucky that I hadn’t read ANY paranormal (other than Stephen King horror), as this was an absolute fresh read for me. I had never read anything like it, or barely any romance for that matter… and it was exactly what renewed my love of reading.
But not just renewed it. Breathed a whole different life into me. Just fantastic for me and my life is just better because of it… of everything that came out of it.
In essence… it was absolutely magical to me. And I loved the heroine (the insecurities and how raw and emotional she could be – and stupid mistakes for sure), but then again, I had never been inside of a heroine’s head before, that was falling deeply in love, and had so much angsty decisions to make… let alone being dumped.
GASP! I had never read that before… from the heroine’s perspective that deeply, and my heart got HOOKED and I was so invested in that love.
Well maybe the Sweet Valley High books had heartache… but LOL!!! You know what I’m saying?
Anyway, it’s because of Twilight that I fell in love with BDB, and the Fever series, and True Blood… and then contemporary romance, and bad boy rock stars, and brooding alpha males.
So for me, this series means the world to me. Opened up the book world to me. Made me understand what it was to “live” in a world and experience something I never could.
Before it was horror and biographies. Fun in their own right, but totally different from what I experienced with Twilight.
I had that feeling when I was reading it…that this was the ORIGINAL that set the genre and the bar for others to come. Wish I’d read it before the others. It’s always magical to discover something wonderfully new like this.
