“Three Things”:
1.) I made Ina Garten’s celery salad this weekend and it is just AMAZING. Now… I know. Not many are celery fans (and if they tolerate-like celery, it’s as an ingredient in a soup). LOL!!! But let me tell you, if you find the taste of celery good-ish… then this recipe will convert you to an OMG I could eat this AS IS, regularly. 😀 Anyway, I can. 😉
2.) I spent all of my Mother’s Day with my mom via FaceTime. It was a wonderful Sunday, just the two of us. 🙂

1. My husband went back to work last night. Yay normalcy and paycheck. Boo, I was getting used to having him around. Now we have to readjust our schedule again. 😕
2. I slept horribly last night, courtesy of J. I dreamed my Mom gifted me a lion cub and I had to find a rescue organization to take him in bc he was getting to adult size and therefore, mean. And then when I called, he turned into a bear. Bizarre. I haven’t dreamed in so long. Must be stress. It was pretty wild, lol.
3. Trainer is coming to save me tomorrow!! I hope. It’s actually not THAT bad, but I need it very much.

I’m 50% into book #1. And I didn’t read the blurb at all, so I have no clue what it’s about other than what is being revealed as I go.

Sounds like a very vivid dream. It’s weird when dreams like that come from nowhere. Leaves you wondering what’s going on in your subconscious. I dreamt my kids were all piglets once. Nice clean happy ones, but still piglets. LOL. I think I could see where that one came from. Ha ha ha.
1. I love celery but the hubs hates it. He’ll tolerate it in soup but that’s about it, and it better not even look at his bloody mary! I do a shrimp, celery, and cashew stir fry that I love but he isn’t having it!
2. Leslie and I were emailing yesterday about book recommendations and I had a dream last night she came to my house to pick them up and I wouldn’t let her leave until she agreed to take all my skinny clothes! 😂😂😂
3. I changed my 2 am bedtime to 8:30 pm this month and I’m loving it! I’m getting up super early every day to write and the quiet is divine. I was planning to go back to normal in June but now I’m not so sure!
LOL!!! #2 makes me laugh so hard!
P.S. I told my co-worker about my awesome salad and she HATES celery, but she tried to be positive by saying:

I like celery, so I’m going to try your recipe Marsye. Also, when you finish the Jack and Jill series, you have to read One. I love that book; such a strong h and some laugh out loud moments. The H and h met in book #3 of Jack & Jill.

Just finished The Hunter (Boston Belles series #1) by L J Shen. It was an angsty quirky hot 🔥read…yup…very delicious. The heroine Sailor is the daughter from the couple in Sparrow (Troy & Sparrow), and the hero is Hunter, a gazillionaire mawhore jerk. It’s an enemies-to-lovers slow burn. Dad Troy, a mafia kind of guy, gets his licks in the story which has twist and turns.
The secondary characters are fantastic. Shen has 3 more books coming in the series…”The Villain”, “The Monster” and “The Rake”. You can already tell which hot guy characters you’d pick for those books. *eyebrow wiggles*
This was a 5-star read as was her previous book Angry God (All Saints High, #3)…about Vicious’ son Vaughn.
Btw, I read The Hunter until 5 a.m. this morning – I never do that! Just wanted to finish the story. Told my husband I wasn’t feeling well and went to another room. shhhh 🙂

You all are talking about celery. My hubby makes me celery/cucumber juice every morning. I now crave it, the first few weeks it gave me a tummy ache and the Dr. said to give it time. Now I feel like I have super immunity to the C19. Power of positive thinking!
I have been in a LJ Shen marathon. I love her books and she is my Covid go to read. Because she is a fairly new author for me, this has been a fun time to pass with her creativity
I did start New Orleans Rush yesterday by Kelly Siskind, It is a fun fast read and Kelly Siskind is a very creative writer twisting words and meanings and leaving us with a feel good escape from our stressful life. Its not a five star but close. Or a five star flor a feel good book.
I love both cucumber AND celery and I have an awesome juicer. I should start this!!
