HAPPY MONDAY & I hope today is a peaceful and heartfelt Memorial Day for all of you. ❤️
I am planning a day of books and making a batch of “crack chicken” for supper tonight. I love my slow cooker!! <— I’ve had an almost identical version to this one since 2015 that I use regularly. I’ve even had to replace the porcelain inner bowl/container thingie (the original bowl cracked – no idea how?), and have continued using this one instead of just buying a whole brand new one.
Three things:
1.) UPDATE: I’m on week 5 of my Invisalign journey!! And so far, so good. I have not had any of the initial pain that many spoke of on my favorite Reddit board. Of course it always feels a bit shocking when putting in a new weekly tray (the initial tightness and pressure is intense) but it has not hurt me at all. I’m finally used to having this thing in my mouth 22 hours a day. And that only took about a week or so to subconsciously ignore it. My teeth have absolutely moved in just this small amount of time and I’m amazed. My two front teeth are almost perfectly even already (though they weren’t the most difficult part of my treatment). My bottom teeth are crowded, and that’s what’s going to take the most time, but I. AM. IN!!! Already so much has changed.
2.) I’m thinking of getting this amazing looking fan – Shark TurboBlade Fan (it goes at the end of your bed) for my very hot nights. I don’t know how much my husband will like it (he’s a blanket bundler and turns himself into a human burrito every night but hey… maybe if he’s all bundled up, he won’t feel it, right? I NEED THIS!!!! Maybe for my birthday which is coming up soon. 😉 *hint hint to my husband in case he’s reading this*
3.) Speaking of aging, I read about this Ponds cream (POND’S Dark Spot Corrector) on a Reddit board when someone asked how to make her hands look younger, and many agreed and approved of this and said it does work. So I decided my hands AND the intended application, on my face to keep my skin tone even (I don’t have dark spots yet but I do have two freckles that get on my nerves). But I struggle to stop using my beloved Olay since it’s supposedly chock full of vitamins, so I’ll use both. My vitamin Olay after I wash my face, and then maybe 15 minutes later, I add on the Ponds. So far, I haven’t notice much of a difference but I’ve only been using it for week. Good thing? I have not had any reactions or breakouts since adding it (and I’m a sensitive skin person). Other interesting observation: The Ponds kind of… tingles or burns (not burns… like almost like it might) on my skin upon application but then that feeling fades almost immediately. So it must be doing something? Right?
Okay now… time for BOOKS THAT JUST WENT LIVE!!!
