Today’s Monday early bird releases is ready (though I’ll add more if some go live). I can’t believe it’s already June.
A huge bunch of the latest “Cocky Hero Club” series just went live too. Each one written by a different author, all standalones, but coincide with Penelope Ward’s and Vi Keeland’s Cocky Hero series in some way (like fun “appearances” by some of our favorite characters, like the hilarious goat). 😉 Very cool idea!
“Three Things”:
1.) I didn’t do much reading (or sleeping) this weekend, my mind is just racing and my heart is heavy and sad.
2.) I repotted my umbrella plant that’s been acting weird and just as I thought, it was definitely root bound. I hope this helps it.
3.) I gardened (which is very therapeutic for me). I planted two cherry tomatoes in a pot (just split in half) last weekend, and they sprouted so fast. That’s pretty incredible!
P.S. JUNE’S AMAZON FIRST READS SELECTIONS ARE UP!! Thanks for reminding me Tasha J!!
Tasha J: Looked up Prime first reads and seems like a pretty good selection this month. Opium and Absinthe is calling my name. And The Lending Library. Maybe Never Look Back. The editor really sold The Bone Jar, but I see there are plans for a 2 and 3 on GR and no reviews yet. Find Me has a pretty cover and doesn’t NOT sound intriguing. I just dk if I’m in the mood for the FBI agents thing in both that 1 and NLB. Hmmm. Decisions, decisions.
Maryse: Lots of police/detective/FBI thrillers on this month’s list. I love the thriller/sertial killer aspect, but I’m not in the mood for FBI stuff either, so I went with “Somebody Else’s Secret“. That sounds just right for me!!
Michelle: Big Mary Burton fan, I am so excited she has a book part of First Reads and havent read her in a few years. So I will be going with her book this time. This is the earliest I have made a decision for the First Reads.

At First Sight: (inspired by “Aladdin”) (A Modern Fairytale) by Katy Regnery <— KATY REGNERY ALERT!!! Here’s a special note by the author herself about this one after a serious bout of writer’s block:
“…If only, I thought to myself, I could just write a novella. Short and sweet, it wouldn’t feel like too much. Maybe it would jumpstart my mojo again.
And that’s about when I remembered AT FIRST SIGHT.
When I opened up the document in late-April, I found an old outline from 2017, an updated concept from the summer of 2019 and not much in the way of writing.
Deciding to start fresh, I went back to the first novella, SHEAR HEAVEN, and re-read all the parts that included AT FIRST SIGHT’s heroine, HSH Valentina Yasmina De’Medici. And then I watched the 1992 cartoon version of Disney’s Aladdin.
And somewhere along the way, a new concept for AT FIRST SIGHT emerged, ready and willing to be written.
It only took me three weeks to write AT FIRST SIGHT, and I love it…”

Hey, happy Monday!
1. I’m getting my Catio installed today!! I’ve been waiting since about Christmas time for this thing so I’m more than ready, especially since he and Goose can’t seem to leave each other alone.
2. Looked up Prime first reads and seems like a pretty good selection this month.
3. I’ve got my daughter and my Mom working on making over the collar bandanas. The girl wants to learn for decorating Goose and making a little cash. I think it’s a great summer project rather than being busy on electronics. She has difficulty sticking to stuff, but I think she’s really excited about it. And so am I. I’ve been fabric hunting online. So fun!
Oh I forgot about the Prime Reads!!!! YAY!!!!!
I got Opium and Absinthe. It was a toss up between that and The Lending Library. They both sound so good. I can’t wait to see more feedback for all of them.
Good morning!
1. I went to heat up a bowl of leftover rice and butter for breakfast (I swear I could live off of rice) but then thought it would be better as fried rice for dinner. Now I’m watching the clock, trying to decide when is an acceptable time to make dinner.
2. I watched Gabriel’s Inferno on PassionFlix yesterday and literally squealed all the way through it. I had no idea they were going to end it with a CH though! *cries*
3. I got Someone Else’s Secret from Prime First, but who knows if I’ll ever read it. I wish just once they’d offer romance!
Crap, dinner. I’m so unorganized today.
If I don’t take the chicken out to thaw soon we’ll only be having rice! But god the garage is so far away. 😂
This is me every single time I have to set stuff out of the freezer. 😂
LOL I still haven’t done it. Thanks for the reminder. Going now!
LOL!! I’ve done that before. Craving what I’m having for supper so badly that I can’t focus and time isn’t moving fast enough. LOL!
So Gabriel’s Inferno is ready to watch?? GASP!!!!
Yes! It released Friday. But it’s only the first half of book one, so be prepared for the cliffy!
NO!! Not a cliffhanger! Boo!
The Fug Girls has put up a list of links of different organizations to donate to to help BLM. I should of already done this but going to make some coffee and read through them. There is not much I can do, but this I can. And educate myself more.

Side not. Kpop fans can be extreme on social media and there can be some fighting between fandoms. But apparently they all banded together. I love this.

KA Tucker The Player Next Door is scheduled to be released on Amazon the 2nd of June which is today in Australia, no sign of it yet. But it was a different sort of release pre order and available 1 June only on Apple Books then available for purchase or read on kindle unlimited from June 2 I think the newsletter said, so perhaps it won’t be available until it’s June 2 US time.
yay, that one is mine. love that Author
ASHER by Carian Cole just went LIVE. It is a early release!! A must read book!!
I’m working on the Tuesday list right now so it is being added!! 😀
Yeah!
Hey ladies. I’ve been a little radio silent recently – but I’m checking in to share my love for Katy Regnery’s new book, At First Sight. Novellas are sometimes tough for me…but she really nailed it. Such a fun story with characters that you can’t help but root for.
