<— HAPPY MONDAY & ANOTHER WONDERFUL START TO THE WEEK & THE MONTH! I’m loving these early bird book releases, and I can’t wait for you to see tomorrow’s main BIG list! 😀 I had an amazing, peaceful weekend, and I hope you all did too.
Three things:
1.) I have finally started decorating my back yard lanai, after 3 years here!! It was loaded in plants but everything was scattered everywhere, nor rhyme or reason and certainly not an oasis. So I gave away my oversized patio set that nobody was using and that the dogs were dirtying with their muddy paws, bought two Adirondack Rocking Chairs, and finally set them up in their proper place. I also bought a very tall – 6′ tall – bakers rack that’s foldable completely flat and has 5 shelves (<— mine looks like this one but in black & I only use 3 of them and fold up the other two due to the height of my plants) that I could put my plants on, and I have another plant shelf coming today (a little different but should complete my plant organization). It’s already SO pleasing to look at. Cozy oasis for sure.
2.) It’s been raining all weekend so I’ve indulged in putting all my indoor & covered lanai plants in the rain for the weekend. A nice healthy soak and cleansing and rain water is the best for plants for all sorts of reasons (oxygenated which is excellent for healthy roots, nitrates in the droplets which plants need, free of minerals that build up in soil, a good flush of old minerals that have built up and something about electrons & ions in water droplets that do something to the leaves… or something? LOL!!) 😂 Anyway… all that to say rainwater is life!
3.) I also repotted a bunch of my plants, and they all took to the expansion and new soil well, except for my beloved, beautiful purple waffle plant that I grew from a few skinny sprigs into a gorgeous huge ball of purple beauty. She’s messy and sort of droopy right now, but I think I messed up her beautiful growth pattern moving her into her new pot. Oh well, she needed it. She was getting root bound and “fainting” at the drop of a hat for needing more water despite frequent waterings, so she’ll just have to rub some dirt in it, and power through. 😉

I want to see pics of the lanai!!
1. I lost my poodle a month ago and I’ve been in a bit of a funk and not very present on social media. Gradually getting back to it.
2. We went to see Moulin Rouge last night and it was amazing!
3. The airbnb is booked solid for the next 7 weeks with very few days in between. I’m exhausted just looking at the calendar!
