Happy Monday! A few early bird book releases to hold us over until tomorrow (which looks like it’s going to be an amazing release day!!) But first…
THREE THINGS:
1.) I’m getting a “Red Factor” canary in the next couple of days as an early birthday gift!!! The little guy was born in May, and he’s so cute, he’s a beautiful red color and he sings and sings and sings… I’ve got my canary-stuff order coming in from Amazon by tomorrow (so many goodies for his setup), and then my new little buddy will be here. 😀 I can’t wait!!! *claps*
2.) My dogs love carrots and zucchini and I think that’s pretty fun. “Treat time” is actually healthy for them. Though, don’t try and give them greens of any sort (and especially not broccoli). They’ll chew it into a few pieces and leave it there. 😉
3.) I’ve decided my favorite coffee in the world (well… in the grocery stores, at least) 😉 is Lavazza Medium Roast. Holy moly it’s just so rich and yummy and tastes just like I expect a solid, but not too strong cup of coffee to taste like in the morning. I’ve tried a few different blends, and all sorts of beans (ground my own) and tried various pregrounds out there, and nothing beats this one for me. Not even Starbucks. Oh and!! I love how finely ground this coffee is. Almost like a powder. Ahhh perfection and a freshly brewed cup is calling me as we speak. YAY ME!!! 😀

His dedication to me and my sisters was the example I needed when my twins were born. Tracing his footsteps may not have been my birthright, but him turning over the president patch to me is what I’ve waited for since I was thirteen. Calm, cool, and collected – that’s how he ran The Heaven Hill MC – and it’s how I’ve run it too. Until now...”

Good morning! 🌞 Been up since 6:00 but not feeling awake yet. I might need some of Maryse’s yummy coffee.
*looks at clock*
It’s 5:09 here, so I’ve been up for almost an hour. Early shifts suck. BLECH.
*grabs Leslie’s hand and pulls her* I say we sneak into her kitchen and swipe some of her coffee…
Amy, stop the insanity! That’s too early to be up.
*hands coffees to everyone*
Y’all gotta try this awesomeness!!!!!! I put half and half in mine… nice and rich!!
OMG a canary!! What are you going to name him? I am such a crazy bird person. I could watch them for hours…wild, tame, doesn’t matter. They are wonderful creatures.
Three things:
1. I’m taking the final steps towards changing jobs. Eeep! It’s nerve wracking but exciting!
2. My (overgrown) pup has the worst-smelling farts. She’s killing me. 🤢 It is hilarious, however, to see this 70-pound dog get scared when she has a loud one, LOL!
3. My book spreadsheets need to be updated badly, to the point where I get anxiety when I look at the file. First-world issue, but it is still MY issue, right??
Amy!! I’m probably gonna name him birdie ’cause that’s cute and easy. 😉 He is SOOOO CUTE!! My boyfriend bought him for me and he’s got him at his place (until I can pick him up tomorrow) and he’s already so enamored with him. Sending me singing videos and cute updates about him taking his bath… I mean. The bird. BIRD. Not him… *snort* 😛
LOL on the dog. Pixel used to get so offended by her own self when she’d would fart, flip around to glare at her butt and then she’d run away…
*hugs Amy for her “too many books” issues* 😛
Can’t wait for pics, Maryse!!! Of the bird…or the boyfriend…whatever you decide to post for us …lol.
LOL Michele G!!!! 😛 You just made me snort.
Love the name birdie, Maryse! I can’t wait to see a pic (or pics) either.
Thank you Nay!!! LOL on the pics… 😉
Amy, good luck with the job decision. That’s so stressful…but definitely exciting and sometimes change is much needed!
I’m laughing at your book spreadsheet…as an accountant, I totally get the spreadsheet thing…definite first-world issue but still legit!!
Good luck, Amy! Hubs just got a promotion that he had to interview (and compete) for, and he was a nervous wreck!
It IS exciting, Amy. I can’t wait to find out how you settle into your new routine. *claps with glee*
Good luck on the new job Amy!
Good morning! Happy Monday!!! ☀️
Three things:
1) Porch cleaning
2) Mojitos
3) Method 15/33 audio book
Yes, more of the same this week, and I started Method 15/33 this morning. I never did drink a mojito yesterday–I don’t drink much anyway, but I’m allowed to have a nip here and there, so I’m planning to have one today if the mood strikes.
Nay, you’re cracking me up! I think since it’s Monday, you should have mojitos…see what I did there?!
Yes, Michele! That’s it–because it’s Monday. I’m having one right now!
Good girl! You have to get to training! A mojito a day or something like that 🙂
Also, congrats on your hubby’s work promotion!!!
Thanks–he’s so happy!
Happy Monday!
1. I spent part of the morning cleaning out my closet and I think it looks worse now than when I started.
2. I finally gave up to get in the pool. I need some color before book bonanza. I look like the walking dead!
3. I’m listening to Before Jamaica Lane on audio and is it weird that I have an affinity for chicks doing male Irish/Scottish voices? I seriously don’t even care about the plot half the time. I just want to hear the accents!
Same about the accents. I can tolerate audio book romances with Irish/Scottish (and some British) accents much better than American.
Oooo!!! That is my favorite book of that series! And the audio….she does such an amazing job. And yes, that accent. 😊 There’s this one part that no matter how many times I listen to it still makes me tear up.
We have had parakeets, but not a canary. Can’t wait to see a video of Birdie singing and bath time! My dog scares herself when she farts. She jumps up, looks behind her and then takes off running.
Three things:
1. Still painting my porch. Today I put the first coat of Jamestown red on the front door.
2. Was stressing about the paint for the door sidelights and columns. Got a semi-gloss and was worried it would be too “shiny.” After testing it, I think it will be ok.
3. Made chicken burgers with grilled eggplant as the “buns.” It was delicious!!!!
Maryse
My cocker spaniel, Gracie Belle, gets green veggies. Her breakfast and dinner have a small amount of a good dog food, small amount of cooked chicken breast, 2 baby carrots, some green beans or since it is summer a slice of tomato. She loves her veggies. She likes broccoli but gives her gas so quit giving it to her. She gets an extra carrot or two as a treat during the day too plus popcorn because we both like it. Can’t wait to see Birdie. Send a picture please.
