HAPPY MONDAY & HAPPY LABOR DAY!! It’s time for today’s early birds and then for me to start tomorrow’s BIG NEW RELEASE LIST!! 😀 But first…
Three things:
1.) I found this gorgeous coastal “sand dollar” decoration at a flea market this weekend (it’s actually pretty big and hand carved wood). AND I got quite the deal on it. I LOVE IT! Just trying to find the perfect spot for it…
2.) Football season is back, so we decided to get cable again. There’s just too much sports love here to continue messing around with who’s showing what (and my husband missed out entirely on hockey last season which he LOVES). Plus we love Discovery and the History channel and I love HGTV and Lifetime, so… *sigh* for now, we have un-cut the cable. LOL!
3.) On my shopping day, I also got some cute summery pants and dress shirts & blouses. Just something a little dressier than my normal shorts and t-shirts but less “going out on the town” than what I normally wore when I was going out. Yep, it was time for new clothes. LOL! I was kind of… “mid style” from all of my cutesy mini skirts and frilly things (or my sleek ALL BLACK wardrobe that I still love), but felt like I want something more… light and airy.
Okay now… time for BOOKS THAT JUST WENT LIVE!!!

Playing With Danger (Hollow Point Book 2) by Riley Edwards <— LIVE!! HOT COP & SHE RAN INTO HIM 3 TIMES “…Valentine Malone fell into my life…correction, I fell into his in the aisle of a grocery store. I fell, not in love, but literally into him right before I stumbled into a display rack of parmesan cheese. Our second run-in had me on the floor slipping and sliding in broken party tubs of margarita mix. And if the first two encounters weren’t embarrassing enough, the third left nothing to the imagination when I walked in on Hot Cop in all his magnificent glory in the shower. Not exactly the meet cute I’d always dreamed of. Three chance meetings was all it took for my perfectly uninteresting life to take a turn…”
Bummer Camp: A Novel by Ann Garvin <— TWO SISTERS SCRAMBLING TO SAVE THEIR FAMILY LEGACY! “…Then a series of frantic text messages pulls Cat back to center stage. Ginger has handed the reins to a crackpot motivational speaker, Bob Durand, and his scheming wife, Elaine. The couple’s plan to rebrand the camp as a “rehab” for anxious adults has nearly bankrupted the McCarthys. And now the Durands have skipped town days before investors arrive for a fundraising gala that could determine the camp’s future. As Cat and Ginger wrangle a cast of lovable misfits and underdogs to save the camp, the sisters rediscover the importance of family, belonging, and holding fast to sweet summer memories…”
Once Upon a Boyband by Jenny Proctor <— EX BOY-BAND CELEBRITY LIKES THAT SHE DOESN’T KNOW WHO HE IS… “…everyone blamed him for the band’s breakup. He might miss making music, but he had good reasons for walking. Give him solitude over thousands of screaming fans any day of the week. These days, the only company he’s truly interested in is that of the vet who works closely with his dog rescue—Dr. Laney Lawson. She’s brilliant, funny, beautiful, and best of all, she has no idea he used to be a pop star…”

Remember Me Tomorrow: A Novel by Farah Heron <— SEPTEMBER AMAZON FIRST READ! HE’S MISSING BUT HE’S NOW TEXTING HER… “…when she starts receiving texts from Jay, the mystery takes an unexpected turn. To put it mildly. His messages are coming not only from Aleeza’s own dorm room but from the past—only weeks before he disappeared. Sharing space, if not time, Aleeza and Jay are living the impossible, and they start working together to prevent his inevitable disappearance. Causing a temporal paradox that could blow up the universe is a risk they’re going to have to take. Aleeza digs through Jay’s suspicious friends, enemies, and exes, determined to find out what happened to him…”
Tough Score (The Hawkeyes Hockey Series Book 7) by Kenna King <— THE HOCKEY STAR WORRIED ABOUT THE SOCCER STAR LOOKING AT HIS PHYSICAL THERAPIST “…Now Keely is my therapist, and she’s as determined as I am to get me back on the ice. I should be focusing on my recovery, but with the Hawkeyes putting her up in my apartment building, I can’t stop thinking about the gorgeous PT sleeping across the hall from me. Just as I start to believe we might have a shot at something real, Keely tells me we can’t date—it would be inappropriate since I’m her patient. But something about the way she says it has me thinking it’s more than just professional ethics. That’s when I meet Jack–the captain of the city league soccer team that she just joined and the guy who can’t take his eyes off of her…”
Awakening of the Pack: An Urban Fantasy Novel (The Other Wolf Series Book 4) by Heather G. Harris <— SHE’S BEEN CROWNED QUEEN! “...I may have been crowned Queen, but it rapidly becomes clear that the title doesn’t come with an iota of respect: in fact, it’s a death sentence. My enemies have handed me a crown and now they’re sitting back to see how long I can keep it. Challenges will be coming thick and fast, and I need to be prepared. 1. I don’t know how I feel about football season this year. I just can’t get behind our quarterback and it seems like every year I’m just waiting for him to get his annual “paper cut” and get benched for the season so I can root for someone else! I hope it’s someone hot like last year! 😆
2. I’m currently sitting in the RV, waiting for the hubs to wake up so we can go see how the house fared after our labor day weekend airbnb guests. We go in first to strip the beds and make it “less scary” for our cleaner. Yes, we preclean for our cleaner!
3. I still can’t focus on reading. I feel like it’s been forever since I was consumed by a book!
Okay now I have to know how it goes when you check out your house. Eeeeeeep! I’m already wanting to ask for your nightmare stories, because it sounds like you might already be having them.
I get the whole reading thing. When my life was in transition, I couldn’t focus on a book. When I’m comfy and cozy, I read.
Today it went pretty good except for the 2 dirty diapers I found under my bed! 😬 Besides that, it’s practically clean all ready! I only have 4 loads of towels! (Usually it’s 8)
I haven’t found anything scary yet, just weird. Like a 24″ exercise ball jammed under my fully inclined treadmill (had to replacethe treadmill), missing fire stick remotes, missing pillow cases, a piece of bacon in a bedside organizer, broken pool umbrellas almost every time! Towels that look like the guests showered in doritos, practically a full bottle of BBQ sauce coating every inch of the bbq pit… my husband said today, “I don’t know what they’re making but I want some!” 😂
Pam Goodwin shivers and shadows. I am in book one and I’m hooked.
