Good morning and Happy Monday everyone!!! A pretty big list of early releases and quite a few blurb jolts too!! I highlighted a bunch. 😀 But first…
Three Things:
1.) My mom got engaged over the weekend and I “attended” her engagement party in Montreal, all the way from here in Florida, via FaceTime!! 😀
2.) I discovered a delicious creamy ice cream at a local small-time ice cream shop (they make it themselves) and guess what?? They had sugar-free flavors too!! Mind you, I forgot to ask what their sugar substitute was, but whatever. It was yummy and I was able to partake. I chose blackberry flavor (they were out of strawberry and that’s my favorite). Of course there was Banana Cream Pie ice cream, but… *sigh* that was NOT sugar free. But I bet it tastes amazing. I will dream about it. 😉 Also, I went there in my cookie monster pajamas. I wasn’t supposed to go out (I was snuggled reading), but it was a last minute decision, and well… I forgot what I was wearing. 😛
3.) I’m reading R.L. Mathewson’s “Devastated (Anger Management Book 1)” and it’s going live in just a few day I’m halfway through it and I AM LOVING IT! OMG how could I have forgotten how awesome her stories (and characters) are??!! I’m hooked ’cause he’s moody and totally uncuddly, and unabashedly uninterested in… just about everyone. 😉 *snort* And now she’s his live-in assistant while he’s on house arrest!! RIGHT?????!!!! OMG SO GOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!
Kelsey: I bloody love R.L. Mathewson’s stories! And I agree Maryse how could we forget ? ❤️
Kat: Love her Neighbors From Hell series
Heidi: this will be good!!
Amber: I can not wait!! Love this writer!!

Good morning! Happy Monday! 🍂🎃 Congrats to your mom, Maryse!
Woke up this morning to fall leaves! I just hope the wind and the rain don’t knock them all off the trees before we can enjoy them.
Half Truths is definitely going on my tbr. It’s getting awesome reviews so far. I’m also looking forward to reading Just Ten Seconds. And I haven’t read an R.L. Mathewson book in ages, but I used to love them. Can’t wait to see your review, Maryse!
I finished listening to To Kill a Mockingbird and really enjoyed it. As I mentioned before, Sissy Spacek’s narration was wonderful, and it didn’t hurt that I had Gregory Peck’s Atticus in my mind the entire time. Now I’m listening to Room by Emma Donoghue and I think it’s going to be great! I’m only 10% in, but I’m loving the narration–it’s full cast with each person doing their own part, which is my fave!
I LOVED ROOM!!!!!!!!! One of my favorites. Definitely a psych-thriller, but an emotional story of growth as well.
Looking forward to Shadows by Kristen Proby! So many exciting things coming in the next couple months. 😊 I many have to read me that R.L. Mathewson. Is it giving you old school feels as well, Maryse? Does it feel like coming home? The magic you felt before returning? I’ve been feeling the need for a book like that again.
I’m catching up on the rest of the Helena Hunting’s Pucked Series since the few I don’t have are on KU. I love Hockey romances!! Just found that Lola Wright has a new book Pooh in her Devil Angel’s MC Series. This is the 3rd book and I really liked the first two in the series!!
Maryse just an FYI, a bunch of Bella Jewels books are free for 2 days only! I have every single one that is free, that’s how good they are!
Oooooh YESSSS!!! AND YAYYYY!!! Thank you for letting us know. 😀
I absolutely adored Just Ten Seconds! 5 star read for me! I don’t know how she does it but Jeannine Colette always seems to write the perfect swoony man and Dean Delgado is no exception. Do yourself a favor and jump into this one without reading a lot of reviews…the less you know, the better!
I’ve been really lucky with my reads lately because I also read Wanderlove by Rachel Blaufeld and really loved it too – 4 1/2 stars! It was the first of her books that I’ve read and I don’t know why. She has some great looking books out there…so I’ll be reading more by her soon. In the meantime, I really thoroughly enjoyed Wanderlove. Two broken souls meant to be together (at least that’s my interpretation)…their story crawled right into my heart and took residence.
Lastly, I finished Christina Lauren’s Twice in a Blue Moon over the weekend. I think reviews have been all over the place, but I really enjoyed it. It was a 4 1/2 star read for me! It’s another one where I highly recommend you go into it knowing as little as possible. It really will make the story so much more enjoyable.
All of that said…Oh my word Maryse! I’ll never get my TBR conquered when great books keep hitting the list. There are at least 4 or 5 more books up there I want to read. Who needs sleep 😉
Book releases have been exciting over the last few weeks!!! 😀 Ill be posting your recommendations Michele. Keep ’em coming!!
Thanks for the recommendation, Michele! I read twice in a blue moon too and really liked it. I like everything Christina Lauren writes. Her characters tend to be mature and know how to communicate. Thats what really attracts me to them. Its really rare with the new books in contemporary romance that the H and h don’t linger in miscommunication and resolve their problems in a reasonable way and time frame. I love the character development as well.
Harper, I’m so glad you enjoyed it too!
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xn9x_9Gt5q0 Sharing my current tune. *sigh* This gives me feels.
Congrats to your mom, Maryse!
I’ve never read anything by RL Mathewson, so I might try that new one when it comes out.
She’s fantastic. Funny and witty but nothing too over-the-top or dirty, ya know? Totally my kind of humor when I’m in the mood for comedy romance.
Sounds good. I will definitely try a kindle sample.
