Angels of Light <— SHE STARTS RECEIVING MESSAGES FROM BEYOND & THEN HE SHOWS UP AT HER DOOR!!! RECENT RELEASE & the author is today’s newsletter sponsor and she’s celebrating with a fun giveaway, and super-fun facts about her novel!!
P.S. Fun Fact #2 had me giggling!!! I can imagine the author’s distress and excitement over that.
So what’s it about?
In P.B. Lambβs debut novel you meet Jessica Hanson, a mid-thirties attorney, who has focused so much on her career she has neither tried nor wanted to know more about afterlife. Her quick ascension into who, or rather what, she really is begins with the death of her mother.
On a fall afternoon in Southern Maryland Jessica finds her motherβs lifeless body in her bathroom. She was already aware something was amiss before she arrived at her home. She knew without being told something awful had happened. She isnβt psychic but she knows unexplainable things.
On the day of her motherβs funeral she finds out sheβs responsible for her half-sister, she receives visitors from beyond including her own motherβs spirit, and a new handsome man shows up on her doorstep. Everything she thought she knew about her life unravels and she finds herself on a journey in which all of creation is now relying on her to find her path.
This contemporary fantasy fiction novel pulls elements of religion, fantasy, and spiritual teachings together with a sweet romance woven throughout the story. The unique blend of research, facts, and fiction make for an uncommon story line.
5 fun facts about the P.B. Lamb and Angels of Light:
1.) I named the matronly family cook Ms. Ebby after my own grandmother.
2.) The book took 7 years to complete because I had a 5-year writers block on what was in the wooden box Jessica receives in the beginning of the story. Every time I re-read the book, I wanted to know what was in the box so badly that I would get frustrated because it wasnβt written yet and I had no idea!
3.) My best friend Diane passed away in 2009, I was βvisitedβ by my friend in a dream which felt so real I literally woke up screaming. The reference in the book that Jessica saw her best friend standing by her bed when she died years earlier is a direct homage to Diane.
4.) The cover photograph is of an actual gravestone angel statue in a cemetery in Hawaii. My close friend and professional photographer, David Avant, posted the photo that he took on his vacation in Hawaii to Facebook in 2019. It was so perfect for Angels of Light that I bought the rights to use it on the cover.
5.) The character Donovan Wheeler, the handsome neighbor, came from a small crush I had on a character in the HBO series True Blood.
GAH!!!! Now I wanna know what character!?!?!! Don’t leave us hanging… π
