Okay so this is actually my own “guess the book” post, ’cause I can’t remember the title of this book, and I feel the need to review it. I read it back in the day when I was mostly paranormal, and this was a “break” between dark alley fights with monsters. I liked it (about 4 star liked it) and it certainly refreshed my palette back then. I miss it and would like to immortalize my feelings for it on my blog.
I came across it last week by accident via a random Amazon search and I was all… “OH!! I remember that book! I should totally review it now that we’ve got a rock star section.” So I kept the window open to get back to it later. And by accident, I closed it (and I had done too many Amazon searches that it was no longer in my history). GAH!
And considering the super-dark and mentally challenging book I’m reading right now, (I am HER… difficult, dark subject matter from main character’s POV and she’s having a serious psychotic break and I think it’s so crazy at times that it feels like I’m having one with her!!), I’m in need of a quick “romance review” break. I’m wanting to reminisce about that older one and finally review it.
Okay so here’s what I remember:
I think it’s a Harlequin and it’s about a girl who inherits her family’s bar and she bar-tends, and this gorgeous rocker guy that she cant keep her eyes off is playing guitar in her bar that week. Thing is… she doesn’t recognize him from her past, but he knows who she is and I think she used to ignore him when they were teens or something. Anyway… it’s the whole he doesn’t reveal himself to her, and the flirtation and stuff. Reveals… secrets. You know how it goes. A nice sweet romance read (I think it was steamy), not too angsty, but it had it’s moments. He was hot and had a real feel to him.
So, what one am I talking about? I’d like to give it an official review, although it looks like I’ve sort of already started it, here. 😉
UPDATE —-> FOUND IT!!! YAY!!! Natalie found it for me!!! It is Her Last Temptation (Harlequin Temptation) by Leslie Kelly. Now I get to work on the review. 🙂

Maryse,when you review it can you give it a rating also on the sex, I read the Temptation books when I was in my early 20’s and as they did not have books for females back then but love stories that basically faded to black. They were well written,but now here 30 years later,I read much steamier and more erotic books and thankfully there is a large market out there to chose from lol a friend told me that some of the silhoutte and harlequin books were carrying more erotic books but I must have chosen the wrong book because it was still kind of tame,so when you review it can you say if its tame or erotic?? Thanks a big fan
Sharon – Harlequin’s “Blaze” books are their steamier line. Most of Leslie Kelly’s books are written for the Blaze line. I have read a few of her books after downloading one as a freebie and quite enjoying it. The sex was steamy…..although not fifty shades steamy. I’m not quite sure how the “temptation” line compares to blaze as I haven’t read any. While I read the occasional harlequin I’m not a connoisseur…
