EB needed our book help but then she found it on her own. That said, this one sounded so good that I decided to post it in case someone here wanted to read it too!

I’m hoping you and/or your readers can help me track down a book I read several years ago. Its a second chance romance –
it opens with the heroine receiving a wedding invitation from her father whom she’s not really in contact with at all. She decided to attend the wedding, her father I believe is a police officer and her ex boyfriend works for her father.
Most of the book is about reconnecting with her ex and struggling to reconnect with her father who by now has step children he has raised as his own, so the heroine feels really out of place in his life.
Its not the Simple Wild but kind of in that vein, its pretty angsty.
Help! 🙂
Ahhhhhh I LOVE The Simple Wild. So I might just love this one, too.

so of course the minute I emailed yesterday asking for help, I figured out the book.
I got some of the elements wrong – I had remembered the father worked at a “station” thinking police, but it was a tv station.
book is called Take Me Home by Melanie Sweeney, its very good!
YAY US!!!! Now we can read it too.
