Reader Question – The book about a woman who is a writer and she gets an assignment to a rock star that she dated at one time.

You guys!!! Beth needs us! And oh whooooaaaaa my blood just ran cold after I read her question.

I was thinking… maybe the Tristan & Danika Series (but I can’t remember exactly how they met off hand) or of course, The Mighty Storm (The Storm series Book 1) <— I’m leaning on this one pretty hard. Then there’s THIS one from wayyyyyyyyy back when…. Sheet Music – A Rock ‘N’ Roll Love Story.

Yeah, I’m sure those aren’t it (too many disparities from her description, but a few VERY similar scenes). GAHH!!

And of course, quite a few blurbs of books that I haven’t read yet are running through my mind, and I’m wondering if it’s one of those.

She asks:

Now, I have a READER QUESTION:

The book about a woman who is a writer and she gets an assignment to a rock star that she dated at one time. (This is not the one where they knew each other as kids.) He finally wears her down and they get together.

But later she shows up to his hotel room and he has been on a bender and betrays her with another woman and just stands up and looks at her in this haunting way and that’s how the book ends.

At the time it was a single book…not a series.  Now I have lost track of it.

Any help would be appreciated!

Amanda: Sounds like The Mighty Storm. Did they date or know each other as kids??? It’s been a few years since I read that one.

Maryse: That’s the one I’m leaning on!!!! And I think they dated… Or did they? LOL!

Amanda: Ok so they were neighbors and best friends but he moved to America when she was 14! He never knew she was in love with him. Never dated

bev: This made me laugh. She basically says it’s not The Mighty Storm with ” This is not the one where they knew each other as kids.” And still we are all….It’s The Mighty Storm! First thing I thought too before even reading her question. I just read Maryse’s intro and was all, “It’s The Mighty Storm”.

Lisa: Did the rockstar take the reporter to Pizza Hut for their first date and have the resaurant closed so they had to themselves? It was where they’d always gone as kids in The Mighty Storm.

Simran: Is it The Rock Star’s Seduction series by Olivia Thorne??

Elaine: Its not “Between A Rockstar And A Hard Place” by Portia MacIntosh is it? She’s a journo and he’s lead singer in a band?

K.B.: Could be Wanderlust by Roni Loren? She is assigned to interview him and they meet beforehand, but I don’t think they used to date, more like they meet and he is interested and then she finds out that he’s her assignment, or something like that.
