Reader Question… Solved! The book about the ballerina and the shards of glass in her pointe shoes…

Amber is looking for this book, and while there isn’t much detail, there is one specific detail that’s jarring!!! So I have no doubt if someone read it, they’ll recognize this part for sure. 😀

I need help!! I’m been looking for this book to read again.

The only thing I can’t remember is that girl was a ballerina. And there was a incident where someone had put glass shards in her pointe shoes and it ended her career.

The hero may have been in the mob/mafia???
