Stephanie needs our book help! And… right away, her description reminded me (even though I haven’t read it yet) of the “indie version” of a book from my early indie-days that EVERYONE was crazy for.
She asks:
Can you help me find a book? I read it years ago but i can not remember the title or the author.
Its paranormal romance. About a female that doesn’t know she is part red wolf.
She is approached by a male that is also wolf. He talks to her and takes her to his pack of nothing but male wolfs. She has her 1st heat cycle and needs help thru it.
Each male in the pack has sex with her.
Okay so my guess?
Feral Sins (The Phoenix Pack Book 1)Β ofΒ Suzanne Wright’s “The Phoenix Pack” series. OMG the recommendations for book one came fast and furious and so many were going on about the HUGE sex scene… like so forbiddeny and scandalous and HOT HOT HOT!!!!
It’s since been picked up and traditionally published and I hear that scene has been removed (or toned down)? So… that’s my guess, but since I haven’t read it, I’m not sure. So I’m opening it up to all of you. π
Anyone have a different guess or agree?
Joy: Itβs not Feral Sins. She (Taryn, the only child of Alpha Lance Warner) only had sex with the Alpha of the Phoenix Pack, Trey Coleman. Lance had promised Taryn to Roscoe Weston, for an alliance.
Tarynβs father was dismissive of and embarrassed by Taryn because she was latent (unable to shift to her wolf form). Roscoe Weston was known for being physically abusive and extremely controlling. He wanted to break Tarynβs spirit and force her to be submissive, while also having a beneficial alliance with her powerful father.
However, Trey and his pack had encountered a huge problem that called for the need to gain powerful alliances. He came up with a plan that would keep Tarn from being mated to Roscoe, but also gain an alliance with her dad.
Stephanie: This one sounds so good. I am gonna have to look it up! Thank you
Maryse:Β But wasnβt it Feral Sins (the original version) that had that HUGE orgy scene where she was shared with all the males? Itβs no longer in the published version we can buy nowβ¦Β So thatβs why I thought maybe she was thinking of that first version?
Maryse: Okay I found the quote where the author explains the removal of that scene. She says:
βSo yes the good news is that soon it will be re-released having been edited professionally and with a few minor changes β one being that the group scene has been replaced with a scene thatβs purely between Trey and Taryn as Montlakeβs guidelines are that sex may only occur between two charactersβ¦β
Maryse: ALSO!! Here’s a fun tidbit about this book (from the author’s page) – which would also lead me to believe THIS IS the book Stephanie is thinking of. The author says:
βFeral Sinsβ was almost titled βMating Tarynβ, but I changed my mind at the last minute.
Joy: Ooooooh, an orgy scene! I didnβt know there was a different version! I need to read it because I love that book. Damn, lol! Now Iβll never get to read it.
JulieO: I want to read the forbidden scene of course. How can we share that on our kindles?
Joy: Me too, Julie!
Maryse:Β OMG OMG!!!Β I FOUND THE SCENE!!! ALSO on the author’s blog page!!!! In her deleted scenes and short story section, scroll down about halfway and stop where she says:
“In the original version of βFeral Sinsβ that was released March 4, 2012. Chapter 17 contained a mΓ©nage scene that took place between Taryn, Trey, and the enforcers. Yes, between all of them. It really isnβt for the faint-hearted. Still here? Okay, donβt say you werenβt warned.”
And there… you can read it. GASP!!!
Stephanie: I did find the book. Its called Animal Attraction by Charlene Teglia
