Reader Question… Solved! The book about the former mean girl that got her teacher fired because of her lies…

Jackson needs our book help! OMG this book sounds SO GOOOOOOD!!!! All of that angst and remorse, and probably a look back on how she used to be. This is EXACTLY my kind of read. And I love books where she was once the villain and is now changed and has reached a personal growth where the reader truly feels it. YES PLEASE!!!

She asks:

I hope you or one of your readers can help me.  It’s definitely a book that was mentioned here because your site is the only one I follow.

She was a former mean girl, left her small town but is now down on her luck and returns home. He was her former teacher that she got fired because of her lies.  He now lives in her old house and treats her poorly, as do all the other townspeople.

There’s also an exboyfriend now married to one of the girls she was mean to.  She ends up working in the local bookstore and there is a side story about an expensive lost artwork.

Hope that’s enough for someone to recognize.
