Renee is looking for this one! Holy moly this trope is not one I’ve read before (well… that’s not true. I just remembered Book Review – Butterfly Tattoo by Deidre Knight has a similar trope). It was SO gooooood!!
She asks:
Hi Maryse!
I am trying to remember the name of a book I read about a year ago.
A gay male club owner falls in love with his best female friend.
I believe there is a series too after it involving their children. I just cannot remember the title or the author.
Any help would be appreciated!
Anyone have a guess?
Aimee: I’m interested!!! I was trying to find a book with this similar trope! I did stumble upon Complicated Hearts and Complicated Parts both were really good and had similar tropes.
Sara: At first I thought it might be Our Way by TL Swan, but when I went back to check, he’s a doctor not a club owner. But, this book was amazing and I loved it!
Aimee: Just finished Our Way.. Loved it!! Thanks for the recommendation!!! I wanted to slap both of the main characters at times but loved the emotional roller coaster this book had!!
Ria: It Was Love and It Was Always Love by V. Theia
Renee: This is it!
Maryse: YAY!!! Another one solved, plus an extra guess that Aimee ended up loving too. Thank you both!!! 😀

Thank you Sara! I’ll add it anyway. Maybe we can make a list of this trope.

Y’all are freaking weird for this gay to straight conversion smut. Focus on straight guys and stop fetishizing converting us. We already have enough problems with the way to world is regressing, we don’t need you conversion kinkster adding fuel to homophobe’s fire by pushing that creepy “you just haven’t ment the right woman yet” propaganda. We grow up hearing the garbage. People *KILL THEMSELVES* because of that rhetoric.
Be responsible and do better. Leave us out of your fantasies, no gay man is going to fall in love with any of you. Homophobic as hell.
Hi Brian!
Thank you for commenting.
1.) I think there are a total of TWO books mentioned on this blog of a gay man falling for a female. And both of those books are on this one post that you are upset about. I hardly call that fetishizing. It’s fiction, and *may* actually happen in real life. Who knows? You can’t speak for everyone.
2.) The majority of gay romance book posts on this website is between males, and there is plenty of love for M/M romance on this website. There are many posts (including M/M books that release weekly that are included in each “romance release” roundup) featuring M/M book recommendations and specific M/M only lists, on my blog. Maybe stop calling everyone homophobes.
I hope this helps!
