Rock star book question, and while the description of this one sounds a lot like many of ’em, the fact that it could be a school project and fathers are involved might spark someone’s memory for sure!

I remember a book from a while ago (possibly a year or two) about a girl whose childhood friend grows up to be a rock star.
I think the fathers were still in touch and they set it up so that she could go on tour with the guy and the band. I think she was an up and coming journalist? Or doing a project/paper for school? Maybe???
