Reader Question… Solved! The book about the girl that works at a gas station, is saved from an attack and taken to a safe house

Hi Maryse,

I am trying to remember a series. I think I actually found it on here, but I just can’t recall what is was.

It started with a girl who worked in a gas station/convenience store. She had a younger sister she was looking after. She also had a friend at the gas station/convenience store. One night a man came in and tried attacking her, but another man who had been watching her saved her.

She got taken back to some type of safe house, I believe there are a group of six who live there including the girl she worked with, all with special powers of their own.

I think one was referred to as the legion or the fallen of many.

Ronnie: It might be the first book, Vulnerable, in Amy Lane’s Little Goddess series. The heroine, Cory, is saved by a paranormal named Adrian.

Kelly: Pretty sure I’ve read this but can’t remember the name. I feel like there was a blond girl who worked there who was friends with the H? And maybe the H came in and bought gum and stuff and was rude to the main girl? And maybe she was attacked or threatened and they decided the H needed to move to the safe house where the group lived and maybe they were angels?

Rachel: Yes! This is the book! Its driving me crazy I can not think of it!
