Reader Question – The book about the guy that called to cancel their date, and she knew it was a lie, because she could hear a woman in the background…

She asks:

I love your books and I love your page! Its helped me find so many books that I never would of read on my own.

I’m looking for this book I read years ago.

The couple was set up on a date and he called her to cancel last minute. She could hear a woman in the background so she knew his excuse was a lie.

Years later they meet and he doesn’t remember her or cancelling on her but she remembers him. He’s doesn’t understand why she doesn’t want to have anything to do with him.

Anyone have a guess?
