- Table for Two by Alexis Lauren <—- er… I dunno where the Kindle version of this went and ummm… that price. Ack! I think I purchased this one awhile back at a more reasonable price 😉 .

I don’t know which book it is for sure either. Not Collide though because he shows up alone (just reread it last week!). I read Beautifully Damaged a few weeks ago and it could be that. He does show up to her restaurant with a date, but i don’t remember if she tells me he has to leave with her right now. OMG you know you read too many books when you can’t remember small details from a book you just read!
Oh that is weird about Table for Two. I know I had seen that book before so I went and checked and I have it on my kindle and I actually read it. I have NO memory of it at all though! What is with that price for a used book???

O.k., it’s a long shot, but I just came across The Last Boyfriend by J.S. Cooper. In the description it talks about a guy who comes into the girls diner every Friday night with a different girl, but she can’t stop thinking about him. It sounds like the right setting, but I haven’t read the book yet so I have no clue if it’s actually the one you’re looking for.
Is it The Edge of Disaster by A.M. Hargrove?
–she’s really self-destructive (drugs, drunken hook ups, etc) because her fiancee died a few years back.
–he’s a doctor of some sort and very, very wealthy. I think it’s set in Charleston or Savannah? He’s at the restaurant with other doctors to celebrate something and gives her his card.
