I have another “Guess the book” reader question, and this time, it’s Marina that thinks she may be mixing up three books into one? So she wants us to help her sort ’em out. π
She asks:
“So my mom just asked me to remind her what Sustained was about and as I was explaining it to her I realized that I was confusing or combining 3 books together.Β Iβm losing my mindβ¦
SustainedΒ is the book where the main single/player guy gets attached to the woman and her kids at home.
The book I mashed it up with is where the lead male gets attached to the woman who runs or works at a community center with little kids. The hot player/alpha sports guy visits her (canβt remember why? I thought it was for a court case but thatβs Sustained) and he gets attached with the kids but specifically to one boy. I think he may have had a similar background to the boy who he becomes attached to.
At some point he takes the kids from the community center to watch him play his sport. I canβt for the life of me remember if itβs baseball or if heβs a race car driver? Is this a K Bromberg book from theΒ Driven series???
And I guess I canβt remember what the book is where the guy gives the girl a baseball park in the end? It might be Tessa Bailey: A Broke And BeautifulΒ novel but not sureβ¦
Any help for my ailing memory would be great!
Thanks,
Marina”
Anyone know which is which?
The Tessa Bailey book your think of is from the Broke and Beautiful series…it’s called “Need Me.”
Driven is definitely that story with the kids. Sbe works with them and he does take them at one point to the racetrack. The kids in it were awesome.
Thank you so much Maryse, Kimmy and Tessa!!!! It was driving me crazy!!!
Lol. Marina basically answered her own questions.I do that all the time. Except usually I’m babbling away while the other person stands there staring.
*snort* π
Well I think it’s always nice when we babble amongst each other. We know. π Weeeeee knowwwwwww….
And we can’t walk away.
Yep. The kids & race car driver ISPs Driven. Zander as the awesome kid. Colton Donovan was the race car driver.
I’m embarrassed now looking at it but I did so desperately need the confirmation! I really didn’t think it was Driven? I felt like I read it more recently. Like maybe one of the follow ups. Thanks for the clarity!!
In Sustained he’s a lawyer, she gets her brother’s kids after they die. He meets her after one of the kids try and steal his wallet and he takes the kid home to her. He visits and starts getting involved in helping her with the kids. The kid that stole his wallet definitely reminds him of himself as he also got in trouble as a kid and still visits the judge that saved and changed his life.
Hope that helps!
