What what whaaaaaaaaaat??!!! Well I NEVER! Er… well, actually yeah, I’ve read this sort of thing before, and done right, usually ends up being a book I LOVE like crazy. But I’m not sure I know this one, specifically.
Leah asks:
“Maryse, I can’t remember the title to this book!
I believe it was a romantic suspense, possibly military. The H was injured and in need of therapy, I believe physical. His therapist was not attractive to him at first but they started spending time together and he fell for her.
I believe he made a comment about her not being pretty to his friends, but she was ok to sleep with.
Thanks for any help!!”
*gasp!!!!* What a… UGHHHHH!!! Sounds like he’s quite the charmer! Ugh. LOL!!!
And yet… sometimes (at least when it comes to books), those *ahem* “heroes” are the most fun ones to finally fall in love with, ’cause it wasn’t easy. π
Okay so… does anyone know this one?
Chris:Β I thought of an oldie but goodie. βNothing But Trouble (Chinooks Hockey Team Book 5) by Rachael Gibson. The H was a hockey star and the h needed money and became his personal assistant after he had a bad car accident, and fire a few before her. He was a jerk to her at first. And he called her plain and chubby.
Sherry:Β Sort of sounds like The Vixen and the Vet (a modern fairytale).
Tessa:Β It does sound like that one!
Lauren:Β Seducing Cinderella (A Fighting for Love Novel Book 1)Β by Gina Maxwell? Sounds kinda like it but he helps her…..gets her hair cut & styled, new, less drab clothes, plucked her horrible eyebrows, etc….He helps her with her crush on a Dr & she helps him with his injury (she’s a physical therapist). I don’t remember if he actually told people how bad she looked, he thought it to himself though.
Melanie:Β Sounds a bit like Perfection (A Neighbor From Hell Series Book 2)Β by R.L. Mathewson.

I don’t think any of these were what I was thinking of. It was several years ago, and may have had a tiny bit of magic in it, making the therapist more attractive as he fell for her.
Where You Least Expect (Thornehill Springs #1)
by Lydia Rowan
He is military, she is his neighbor with low self esteem and he insults her to his friends in a restaurant where she is also there.
Maybe ‘Her magic touch’ by Sable Hunter
Thanks Gabi!!! That’s what I was thinking of!!
You’re welcome. Merry Christmas
