Roxanne needs our book help! Ooooh drama!! Hero fighting and everything. I’m so curious about this one, ’cause it has a certain “disaster” feel. π
She asks:
Hi Maryse.
Been looking for a title for ages.
In the beginning the heroine attends a hen party/Bachelorette party with her friend at the hero’s club/bar. Hero notices her straight off. Don’t know what happens but heroine collapses and hero carries her to his office couch. He also thinks her friends are irresponsible.
Fast forward, the hero offers heroine a place to stay with him because she was staying at a hotel. They resistΒ the pull towards each other and hero also brings home another woman and flaunts it in heroines face.
Also remember that the antagonist wants a re-fight with the hero but the hero doesn’t want to fight him. Think he was a fighter. The antagonist also befriends the heroine and asks her out on a date to which the hero protests violently. Heroine doesn’t listen and still goes on the date, only to find out hero was right about antagonist.
Hope that you can help me with this please!
UPDATE FROM ROXANNE: Just remembered something else about this book. The heroines best friends fiancee is still in love with heroine although heβs marrying her best friend (I think they used to date). The heroine doesnβt know this but the hero notices and brings it to her attention.
Anyone have a guess?
Kelly: Sounds so good. Want to read this one
Paro: Is it Beautifully Damaged by L.A.Fiore?
Roxanne: No, unfortunately itβs notβ¦ But thanks for the guess
