Guess the book time! Ooooh here’s another one!! And even though we had a ton of readers on Facebook jump in and try and guess, or want to know too, we’re not sure we have the correct answer yet so I am bringing it to our crew here. That said… it’s possible the very LAST answer below is the one! 😀
“Maryse I wanted to see if you could help me out with the name of a book I read . The situation is about I think a hockey player that is used to hookups? And he gets injured and need physical therapy and the h is not affected by his charms. When he first starts rehab he cancels because he was drunk and had hooked up with a woman. Then he was late the next day.
So the therapist drops him from her service and moves him to her friends service. So then he sets out to try to win the h because he really likes her because she is different. Can you help me?””
Shelley: I want to know…because it sounds like one I would like!
Paris: Ooooh I wish I knew. This sounds good.
Tilly: I feel like I just read this.
Sarah: Oh this sound like something I would read 🙂
Hillary: I don’t know this book (and sounds like it’s right up my alley), but Edge (Fire on Ice Book 3) by Brenda Rothert is a similar feel. I really love her entire Fire On Ice Series.
Brenda: Thanks, Hilary! This one does sound like Edge, but it’s not. Janett Gomez, is this one of Sawyer or Toni’s books?
Janett: ohhhh I’ve read this one, hold on. Let me try to think about it
Hillary: Thanks Janett! I’ll be adding this to my TBR list if you can remember the title. 🙂
Brenda: Roanne, do you know? I know you’re a big hockey romance reader.
Roanne : The book sounds good but I haven’t read this one yet.
Ashley: I want the title too please
Angie: It’s Alex: A Cold Fury Hockey Novel (Carolina Cold Fury Hockey Book 1) book. By Sawyer Bennett. This is the first book out of 5. Great series.
Angie: I don’t think it is Bennett’s Alex. The heroine is a social worker and Alex is forced by the team to improve his image by working with her and a youth program. This one does sound familiar and I’ve read that synopsis recently (either a recent release or it was on sale and being promoted).
Hillary: I agree, I’ve read Alex and it’s not that one either… I’m at a loss and I love hockey books…
Miranda: Could be One More Shot (Hometown Players) by Victoria Denault!
Stacy: I think it’s Rachel Gibson’s Chinook’s Hockey Team, Book 5 — Nothing But Trouble (Chinooks Hockey Team Book 5)
Michelle: nope neither. I’m digging thru my kindle to find the name
Ashley: Def not Alex. I’ve read that one also & it’s not it. But I’m dying to know! keep us posted! There should be an app for this!
Andrea: Ashley sounds like it might be up your alley
The story isnot Alex: A Cold Fury Hockey Novel. In that story, Sutton is a Social Worker, not Physical Therapist and Alex has to work with her on a community outreach program for kids.
What about One More Shot (Hometown Players)
by Victoria Denault? He’s an injured hockey player and she’s a sport’s therapist that doesn’t want to work with him because of a previous relationship that ended badly.
Not sure he cancelled appointment, but think was late because drunk and had overslept and had trouble getting one-night stand to leave.

It’s not Alex-I know because I looked it up after reading this post and read the entire book in the last 24 hrs while taking care of 2 kids and working full time. Anyways-the premise sounds so familiar-I am certain I have read this book. But are you sure it was hockey and not another sport?
Its not any of Sawyer Bennetts Cold Fury books or Off Season series. And dont think its in Toni Aleo’s Assassins series either…..not sure. But it sounds great and something Id like to read.
hey guys revived by Samantha towle is on d same lines , yhe hero is a race car driver though !!
One More Shot was going to be my guess too.
It is def not Nothing But Trouble by Rachel Gibson. I have read this one a bazillion times (its my fave hockey romance). The h is a wannabe actress/personal assistant. In fact, it is def not any of Rachel Gibsons Chinooks stories as I have read (and loved) all of them.
Bonjour tout le monde !
I think I have the answer to this one… and I liked it a lot !
Is it Assumptions by Melanie Codina ?
