Marion needs our help! And OMG this one sounds all sorts of tumultuous and angsty and like all sorts of trouble… and BE STILL MY BEATING HEART with the last part of her question. WHOA.
She asks:
Hi Maryse
HELP! I read this book like a year ago and it was really good but I can’t remember the title.
All I remember is that the H and h had a deep connection but were both married to other people. They kept on meeting once a year in secret at a B&B. Then they would send each other song lyrics after their encounters.
He once sent her a line from Princes Purple Rain “I never wanted to be your part time lover…...”
GASP!!!!!!! *clutches heart* OMG THAT LINE… Β HOLY MOLY I MUST KNOW WHICH ONE THIS IS!!!
Please!!! Does anyone know which one she (WE!!) are looking for?
Liz: I donβt have a clue but I want it to be my next read. I just searched for 20 minutes for what sounds like a hidden gem with no such luck. π
JulieO: One of my favorite older movies is SAME TIME NEXT YEAR with Alan Alda and Ellen Burtsyn. There is a mix up and they are placed in the same cabin and things go well and decide to meet up every year. They both are married. Itβs fun to see them through the years. Kind of sounds like this book.
Marion: When I was looking for the title of the book again I came across mention of that movie. Maybe the author used it as inspiration. The couple in the book met at the hotel/b&b they were both there for an artists retreat type weekend.
Summer: No clue but I want to read it!!
Laura: I know this one. Itβs The Day We Met by Roxie Cooper. For sure. I almost passed this book by. I saw it on Netgalley. I didnβt request it because I didnβt like the idea of the fact they were with other people. I won a copy in a competition by mentioning a book I liked. I said One Day in December: A Novel by Josie Silver. Fans of one will the like other for sure.
Marion: Yes!!!! Iβve been driving myself crazy trying to find it again. Thank you so much, thatβs the one. Everyone interested by the blurb should read it.
Nay: This sounds awesome! It looks like the ebook is only available for sale in the UK right now. Bummer! May have to break down and order a pb.
Marion: Oh dear if itβs not too expensive I would recommend you get it.
Liz: I am getting it thanks so much gals
Maryse: YAYYYYY!!! Another one solved!! Thank you for the guesses and I’m thrilled we have the right one. π *hugs Laura really hard*
