Reader Question… Solved! The book about the neighbors on an island and she has anxiety issues…

Ekatarina is looking for this book! AND YES!!! I think I know this one and I loved it!!! So I posted it below, along with my book review of it. 😀 BUT!!! I’m still leaving this open for other guesses ’cause I’m not 100% sure.

So I’ve been trying to remember a book I read some time ago. Unfortunately, I cannot recall any specifics other than the plot –

It is on a (maybe Pacific) island, they are neighbors.

He just found out he is not the father of his daughter of around 14 years and came to the island to figure out his life and his feelings about it.

She lives on the island, has some sort of anxiety issues and has this really calming ritual including candles and music. At the end of the book a hurricane is on.

I can’t escape the feeling that his name is Tom, again – not sure.
