Reader Question… Solved! The book about the open relationship and her trysts in the dark with a street racer…

Alex is looking for this one! Oooooooh slightly scandalous and totally titillating!!! What an arrangement. 😉 Okay so…

She asks:

Hi Maryse,

I was hoping you could help me identify a book that I read a few years ago.  It ended on a cliffhanger and I’d love to be able to remember the title and author so I could at last read what happens next.

The opening scene is of a woman walking in on her male best friend (who is also her “boyfriend/fiance/or husband” – can’t remember) in an intimate act with another man.  They have a pact to have an open relationship/marriage since he’s gay and she’s straight.

They have their arrangement because she’s the daughter of a wealthy business man and it’s expected or required in order for her to be involved in the business, even though she is more than qualified.

Secretly she also street races on a motor bike and this is where she meets the hero of the story.  They have steamy trysts where she never sees him because he has his helmet on or they’re in the dark.

This is where my memory gets fuzzy.

I think in the end she gets called into the office by her father and finds out that the business is going to go to the man she’s been secretly seeing because he either bought them out or had hidden ties to the company that have just come to light.

I’m dying to find out what happens next and would love for you and your savvy readers to help me out please!

Melissa: What is the second book to Dirty Ties?? Alex said it ended on a cliffhanger but I can’t find the second book. 😢

Maryse: Hi Melissa! I’m skimming reviews right now, and don’t see anything about a cliffhanger, and the author states on her Goodreads page (and on her Amazon book listings) that it’s a standalone. So maybe – since Alex was trying to remember the details – her cliffhanger comment was confused with another book?
