Our kind of read alert!!!! Diana is looking for a book that I think sounds like one of my recent favorites (my review), but I’m curious to know if it’s something else.

‘Cause I DO remember one about a pool house that I read a few years ago. Right when I first started going crazy over the indie stuff. In fact there was a hot make-out session in it… :P

Hey Maryse,

Okay, so today at lunch I remembered this series and wanted to re-read it (like RIGHT. THEN. you know how it is ;P ) but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was! *face palm*

A girl from the wrong side of the tracks moves into a pool house of a wealthy family. I can’t remember if she’s a distant relative or what. But she’s alone in the world and moves in with them.

She falls in love with a rich popular boy at school (Pretty sure they’re in HS but don’t act like it…you know how that goes, hehe) I remember that the girl is bad ass and has a tough attitude…that’s it. Oh, and she was good at breaking in places.

So the cool kids convince her to help them with some pranks. And they become friends. I just remember the way the series made me FEEL. For some reason I think there were 3 books in the series? But maybe not? Does ANY of this sound familiar to you? I know it’s not much to go on.

Thanks! Happy reading today!

Hey Diana… this one kind of sounds like Paper Princess: A Novel (The Royals Book 1) (that I LOVE so much) and there are two more books coming (actually… Broken Prince: A Novel (The Royals Book 2) will go live on Tuesday!!! :D !!!), but I don’t remember her moving into the pool house. The rest? Sounds right on target. Maybe I’m right, or maybe there are more delights like this one to discover?

Anyone else have an idea of what she’s looking for?

Kristina: Sort of sounds like Make Me (Make or Break Book 1) by Amanda Heath. But I don’t remember her breaking into places………..

Traci: Is it the one I’m waiting on book 2 for..Erin Watt. The Royals?

Maryse: I think it’s that one too, Traci… :D

Nicole: Kind of also sounds like A Whole New Crowd. By Tijan

Sounds like break me to me as well!

Mansfield Park by Jane Austen? Lol, just kidding but a great book. Not the one you’re looking for but along those lines is a super great trilogy (I think-can’t remember if it’s 2 or 3 books) by Abbi Glines. The first book is Fallen Too Far and it is super angsty and tons of fun.

This does sound like Paper Princess but the trilogy and pool house is making me think maybe something else? Sooooo excited to read Broken Prince next week!! The final book in the series comes out in October right? Definitely need to reread Paper Princess in the next few days!

OMGosh y’all! Turns out I combined the plots of Make Me & A whole New Crowd. :P Luckily, it’s my day off, so I’ve finished RE-reading Make Me and am 1/3 of the way back through AWNC. Thanks as always!!! Then I’ll move on to Paper Princess. :) I was gonna read it a while ago (someone mentioned it on here) but the cliffhanger warning scared me off.

Oh, and Teri. I’m a HUGE AG fan! I’ve been reading her since her Vincent Boys days! Wha did you think of Nan’s story? I made the mistake of re-reading the whole series after reading her book & I’m all mad at her again.

Could it be Tillie Cole’s Sweet soul book?? It sounds like it could be.

Diana….I have not got the courage to read Nan’s story!!! Lol. I really freaking hate her.

Could be the Fallen Crest series by Tijan – Mason, Logan and Samantha.

I know EXACTLY what book you’ve been looking for!! It’s called The Clique by Lisi Harrison! The poor character, Claire, moves into the pool house of rich character, Massie. Loved these books in grade school! Been looking for them forever!
