Lisa needs our book help! Oh this one sounds traumatic, and scary, and sad, and intense!!! I’m dying to know. Almost sounds a bit like something from Aly Martinez.

Okay, so you are the only website a girl has a chance in hell of getting the name of a book that she can’t remember!
I’m sure of the many requests for help you must get, so I tried, really tried for two weeks to find it online with searches. And….nothing! Grrrrrrrr… So here it is, my humble request for help before I pull out all of my hair, lol.
The book is about a teen girl who runs away from home because boyfriend’s father rapes her, unbeknownst to boyfriend. Boyfriend spends yrs searching for her, I believe the father purposely sent him to a camp or something so he could attack the girlfriend.
Boyfriend’s mother was in wheelchair, too.
Yrs later the girl is a tattoo artist, she is at home and current boyfriend has a party and the ex boyfriend is there, he is an undercover cop and is posing as a drug connection while investigating the girls current boyfriend.
She has no idea about drug dealing but the ex doesn’t believe her and has a lot of anger & hurt towards her until he finds out why she left when they were teens.
Thanks so much this freaking book has been driving me nuts for 2 weeks!!! I know I listened to it on audible but can’t remember name!!! I’m stuck home w/my fur baby as she just had surgery and wanted listen or read it again!

UPDATE!!! Looks like I received this question twice by Lisa, and the other question has even more details:
The boyfriend’s mother was in a wheelchair and home during the attack.
The girl was homeless for awhile, changed her name and eventually became a tattoo artist owning the store of the woman who gave her a chance, as well as becoming an associate professor (maybe? part time?) in Art?
The old boyfriend (w/the creep father) came face to face with her years later while undercover investigating a drug dealer, who just happens to be the girls current boyfriend, whom she wants to break up with but cant cause he owns half business and she is ignorant of his drug dealing.
The former boyfriend is shocked and then angry, he searched yrs for her, the love of his life, not understanding why she left, and believes the worst of her. He is also in a f*ck buddy relationship with a partner and she is undercover as well and in love with him.

Once the female protagonist finally tells her childhood sweetheart what his dad did, they end up together with a HEA and she finds out his father either died or committed suicide yrs before as well.
I know I did not read, but rather listened to the audio book. That’s all I can remember hopefully its enough! I can’t believe how this has made me C-R-A-Z-Y!!!

Hello Maryse, first of all i am so thankful for this blog it’s a book recs paradise!
I would like to to ask for help in remembering a book ive read a few years back. Its about a woman who left her husband because she found out that he would not stop his underground fighting.
All i can remember is the last name of the husbnd is Ford. A few years after the wife left she is now in. Relationship with a doctor. She rceceived a call about her grandma’s passing. When she went back to their small town she found out that her grandma allower her ex husband to stay with her in their old house when they were still married.
The last thing i remember is the title of the books has Ex on it.
