So here’s another reader question and this one comes from our Facebook page. Also sounds quite heart wrenching… dealing with a very difficult subject matter. From one of the responses, this seems to be a book that’s already released (and not a teaser), but no answers, yet. And she confirms it’s not “The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden”.

“Need some help – looking for a book that I recall reading a teaser about. Cant remember the books name, it may be a book still coming out or recently released. .. teaser is something about a girl that was raped at 12 and she is at her parents house and there is a graduation party. She has 3 older brothers I think and the guy that raped her is at the party and she runs out the house crying and trips and meets this guy who helps her up. His mom made him go to the graduation party because she couldn’t? She was raped and the music was on so loud her brothers couldn’t hear her… anyway that is sort of what I can remember if anyone has an idea?”Shannon: Oh! Sherisse: It kind of sounds like the Coincidence of Callie and Kayden by Jessica Sorenson. I don’t think it was exactly a graduation party but everything else seems right

Sorry to disappoint, but my book “Lost” isn’t the one you’re looking for either. Maria’s fifteen at the time in “Lost” and the details don’t match up very well, either. I was going to suggest Callie & Kayden as well, but that’s been ruled out a ton of times already.

Was the girl a vet when she is older? If its the one I’m thinking of the guy she runs into is a policeman after the guy who raped her turns up at he house years later and her brpthrs throw him out. Saw a teaser for this somewhere but can’t think what it’s called
