Heather: Could it be No Strings by Aline Hunter? It was from Ellora’s Cave, so not sure it’s available anywhere anymore, but I remembered this one because it was really, really good, even though it was short. Though, if I recall correctly, both spouses really were deceased.

It could be Thursday’s ( the wait book 1) by Harper Bentley. They meet in a grief counseling group and sometimes go for pie.
