Jenny needs our book help! Ooooh this sounds good. I immediately thought Argeneau series or Kerrelyn Sparks “Love at Stake” series <— but I don’t remember anyone reverting back to their “prime” in that one?
I mean, naturally, vampires always tend to just look better, though, right? π Twilight for sure did that. They always looked a million times better as a vampire and Bella nearly didn’t survive the turn.
Or… BDB maybe? I know some don’t survive the change (or it can be pretty iffy). Hrmmm… I want to know too!!
She asks:
Hi!
I am going nuts trying to figure out what series this is..Β I am pretty sure I found it through your blog originally, several years ago.
Vampire fated mates, when they turn them they revert to their best age/prime body condition?Β It was a family series, I remember thinking a lot of books?
I thought it was Argeneau but after starting to re-read that series I don’t think that’s it.Β Not everyone survives the turning, I remember that, too.Β And I think maybe the family is Italian?
Any help figuring this out would be amazing!
Thank you!!
Anyone have a guess?
Carrie: They do revert back to their optimal age in the Argeneau books. Some of the life mates were elderly at the beginning of a book and accidentally turned, and everyone goes back to mid-twenties once turned.
Idk if this is the series (that part isnβt more mainstream in it til later books). Also, they prefer Immortal to vampire in that series, again coming out more strongly in that direction in later books. The first books are lighter & a bit campier, but still hold the general overall family storyline. ππππ
Jenny: Thank you Carrie! I also remembered β they faint after the first time they βdo the deedβ.. does that sound like Argeneau? I started re-reading and thought, this isnβt what I thought I was going to read.. but then again there are so many books, I guess I didnβt give it enough time?
Carrie: Yes!! Life mates experience shared pleasure as one of the benefits & so for the first few years even they pass out after. I love this series & the world of this series! β€οΈ
Maryse: After what you said, I remembered so much (I read these back in 2009 and 2010), and I think you’re right!!
Jenny: Hi!Β I would say it’s solved, it has to be Argeneau – thank you SO much!Β I’m going to dive right back in and go through the whole series!Β I only made it to like book 15 or 16 when I initially read it, so I’m looking forward to reading the newer ones, too!
Maryse: YAY!! Another one solved, and this series is SO MUCH FUN!!! I devoured so many of them way back when. π
