In fact, to me, all the details here sound like a classic Kristen Ashley book, so you’d think I’d know it. How am I not recognizing this one? Animal lover, Colorado, a murderer in town, bikers, con artist family members… and the whole “not love at first sight”. 😉

Help! So I need help finding the title of a book that I’ve read within the last year.
The heroine and her best friend are veterinarians, they move to take over a vet clinic (Colorado…maybe).
The heroine visits horse farms, she adopts/tames a wolf. The hero is a custom bike builder that has friends in the town but lives about 4 hours away.
A friend shoots him and the heroine finds him in an alley and treats the wound. It’s definitely not love at first sight with these two.
A local woman is murdered, I think she was blackmailing some people in town. There are two brothers that own the gas station. The hero’s father is a con man and I think he tries to blackmail the heroines parents, who are well to do.

Aimee: Maybe one of Lani Lynn Vale’s. I know one of them the heroine thinks a wolf is a dog and keeps it.
