Hey maryse,
I just remembered another book that I would love to find. I read a snippet of this in the back of a magazine. Do you remember when cosmopolitan or People magazine used to have the snippet of the book they were advertising? That’s where this one comes from.
This book is about a woman in her late 20s to late 30s. She falls for this detective while being protected from a serial killer. Somehow or another the detective finding out that the killer is going to come after the woman. And they put her up in a hotel with personal protection from this detective / police officer.
I remember him sleeping on the couch in the hotel room while she was in the other room. They have guards posted outside the door in the hallway. One thing leads to another they start having sex on the couch and then they hear gunshot and yelling from outside.
The book kind of reminds me of Scream for Me by Karen Rose

Rules of Protection by Alison Bliss?
I dont think it’s Rules of Protection. I skimmed the book and it doesn’t sound right. I’ll let you know for sure after I read it.
It’s been a long time since I’ve read either but wondering if this could be Die For Me by Cynthia Eden? My second guess would be Fear For Me by the same author. Both feature heroes that work in law enforcement that protect the heroine from a stalker.
