Reader Question – The book where he sees the tattoo on her back and instantly recognizes it…

Who wants to play guess the book with me? ‘Cause I have a few questions that have come my way over the last week or so, and maybe someone out there can help? This one sounds a tiny bit like a book I’ve read (A Modern Love Story by Jolyn Palliata), but the details here really aren’t the same…

I have a book somewhere on my Kindle.   I know what it’s about, but for the life of me can’t remember the title, the author or even any of the characters names!!!   And I really want to read it again.     Here’s what I can remember.   He sees her for the first time at a bar.   I think he may own it.    She is there to watch a band, and at one point she is sitting on a huge speaker.   He sees the tattoo on her back and instantly recognizes it.    Asks her what her name is.   It turns out they were the best of friends when they were children, but bad circumstances with his parents forced him into foster care.  I think that one parent murdered the other one, and I *think* it may have been in front of them.    If I remember correctly, her parents wanted to adopt him but then a misunderstanding made them as him to stay away from her.   This is all driving me nuts!!!!   If you could offer any help, I would really appreciate it!!
