POLYAMORY book question by Cindy (this one sounds like a BDSM menage of sorts), and she’s VERY excited about finally finding THIS one! I’ve asked our Facebook crew, and while there has been interest, there have been more questions than answers. LOL!! So maybe posting it here will get us results! π
She asks:
“I’m trying to recall the author and title of this book.
The alpha male is in love with I think a friend’s younger sister. His background is (light) BDSM and a polyamorous relationship he’d been rejected from and he didn’t want to inflict himself on the woman but still can’t help himself.
She in turn gets involved with a guy her own age and the three of them are drawn together.
I think it had a Midwest feel to it but I can’t recall for sure. Just want to know the author cos it’s been years since I read it!”
Melissa: I want to read that.
Patricia: Me too, Melissa!
Vickie: Was he a tattoo artist whom owned his parlor?
Kelly: If I was a techie I would create a computer program that allows you to punch in various aspects of a plot or character names and it would spit out different books that match that.
Anyone else? π
Is it one by Loreli James??
Could be Tart by Lauren Dane although that one takes place on Bainbridge Island WA.
No, it’s not by Lorelei James nor Lauren Dane.
What I remember is, the heroine lives with the alpha hero. He is attracted to her but doesn’t want to be. They also become roommates so there’s a lot of unresolved sexual tension. She gets frustrated with his hot/cold attitude and takes up with a guy her age, a cowboy or ranch hand type, and then the alpha hero reveals he used to be in a polyamorous couple who had rejected him. Alpha hero had felt used since that experience but also craved that sort of relationship. While it wasn’t out and out BDSM, the controlling nature of the alpha hero did have that kinda feel to it.
I really want to reread it to see if it’s as great as I remember the characters to be and also the author.
When I say ‘lives’ with each other – it’s in roommate situation. And I think there’s some issue with the alpha hero being her brother’s friend???
And I think it has a Midwest location.
Vickie, I’m not sure what the alpha hero did for a living. He was doing so much brooding I can’t remember anything else!
If you can give me the title you’re thinking of, I’ll have a look.
But it’s definitely, not Daniel’s Surrender by VJ Summers.
Let me know if you find it. Sounds like something I’d like to read.
Maryse and cohorts, thank you for a fabulous site.
So, after spending part of my Sunday trawling through Goodreads, I think it’s Cameron Dane’s Becoming Three.
I really didn’t think I’d find it, so thanks all for the nudge!
YAY Cindy!!!! I’m so happy you have it. And now we can, too. π
