Aarvi needs our book help! And this is one that has been asked before. I totally remember this question. π
Ahhh yes, here it is —> Reader Question β The book where she tried to kill her husband by removing his brakesβ¦ (and it has one guess on it). I wonder if that’s the one??
She asks:
Hi Maryse,
I am looking for a book that I read a long time back.
The hero used to abuse and ill-treat the heroine a lot, the heroine then finds out she is pregnant and decides that she’s had enough and uses her bodyguard’s (I’m not sure if it really was the bodyguard or someone else) help to orchestrate an accident by hampering with the brakes of the Hero’s car.
But the hero survives and has a brain injury because of which he doesn’t remember how he used to treat her and is suddenly super loving towards her and she is very wary of him and his new behavior while the hero is clueless about the past.
I’m not sure how the book ends, the accident part is all that I remember.
Anyone have a guess?
Mary Ann: I donβt know whatβs a worst nightmareβ¦him being abusive or all of sudden changed to being sweet.
Maryse: Agreed!! And also… the fact that she tried to kill him by screwing with his car brakes. YIKES!! LOL!
Gail: Think every single girl has wished her abusive hubby had this happen .. life becomes real when you realise he wont
Kate’s guess from the other question: Itβs been a while since I read it, but I feel like something like this happens in Resurrect by Astrid Jane Ray. Trigger warnings for this one!
Aarvi: Yesss!! It is Resurrect by Astrid Jane Ray
Maryse: YAY!!!! Iβm glad we finally have the other questions solved too. Thank you Aarvi!
