Reader Question – The book where she witnesses a fight…

This reader question immediately brought “Mafia Captive” to mind, but there is no way this reader could have missed the “captive” part of the story when the bad-guy she was hiding from finds her. Since she did not include that part it in her question, I don’t think my guess is the right one.

Wait… another book is coming to me. I read it. I liked it. A fight in the alley outside of a bar. Was it a rock star? Two opposing rock stars? YES!! Okay was that it, or is there yet another book that she might be referring to?

I read a book a while ago but cant remember the title or plot! There was a scene in the beginning of the story where a girl witnesses a fight on her way home from work. She hides in the shadows because shes clearly in the wrong place at the wrong time. Later on she meets the same guy that was in the fight earlier but doesn’t realize its him even though he knew it was the same girl that he saw hiding earlier. That’s all I remember and its frustrating the heck outta me! HELP!
