Reader Question – The book where she’s a PI and has a power, and meets the reclusive vampire…

Jen needs our book help! This almost makes me think of the Anita Blake series (before it got crazy). And she definitely has some kind of power. Holy moly the power of necromancy. And Jean Claude was reclusive and AHMAZING and I remember the moment they met.

I was soooooo on edge!!!!!

She asks:

Help!

Female PI, having difficulties and has some kind of special power. Lives in the same building with a reclusive vampire.

They end up embroiled in some plot, fall in love, continue PI business.

Somehow she helps him with something and they meet…ringing any bells??

Anyone have a guess?

Maryse: Yep! I’m going with Guilty Pleasures: An Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter Novel by Laurell K. Hamilton. I can’t remember if she was a P.I. or some kind of cop (detective of sorts?), but definitely something of the sort back in the beginning, and also I don’t remember if they lived in the same building (but there was something about the apartment where she lived… I remember that too).

Hiya! Thanks for the guidance, definitely not the same book, though:) heres a dofferent one:
Somehow talented girl meets up woth a manmade vampire type-experiments maybe a superhuman- they fall in love while on some case. Maybe shes the one who can find missing people…anyway, there is a local dive bar she hangs out at, her sister is a local makeup artist for the tv station. There a whole seeies about her and tge superhuman, the local cop laison/ally is a were-supe type and he is attracted to her but loses out…any ideas?
