in Reader Questions

Reader question/fighter alert!!! Maybe even love triangle alert? PLUS brother’s BEST FRIEND alert. Sounds like this book’s got it all… every little exciting tidbit that I love in my romance reads.

Okay, so… “she’s learning to fight” is actually somewhat common these days in the fighter books. That bad-ass/bad-boy fighter is usually “her” trainer, and I’m loving that premise. But, I’ve read it in a few blurbs, so I can’t even go on that, to help this reader out.

Tasha asks:

I need help the other night I sent a sample of a book to my kindle. The only thing is it never made it, and now I can’t remember the name this is what I remember . It’s about a girl and I believe she sleeps with her brothers best friend, and he’s a fighter . She’s learning to fight, and he’s teaching her. I also believe she’s seeing someone at the gym as well .

It could be Gina Maxwells first book, I think Seducing Cinderella. Except he’s going to her for PT, and then he teaches her to be sexy and get a guys attention. He is her brothers best friend. The guy who’s attention she wants works with her.

Here’s the blurb
Mixed martial arts fighter Reid Andrews’s chance to reclaim his title as light heavyweight champ is shattered when he’s injured only months before the rematch. To make sure he’s healed in time, his trainer sends him to recuperate under a professional’s care–Reid’s best friend’s little sister, all grown up.

Disorganized and bookish Lucie Miller needs some professional help of her own. She’d do anything to catch the eye of a doctor she’s crushed on for years, so when Reid offers seduction lessons in exchange for 24/7 conditioning for the biggest fight of his career, Lucie jumps at the chance.

Soon Reid finds himself in the fight of his life…winning Lucie’s heart before she gives it to someone else.

I liked that one! I just didn’t remember that she was learning to fight (I thought she was his physical therapist)… but yeah her brother was definitely his best friend!

I lied it was stand of honor by Cathryn Williams. He’s a mma fighter who’s training her so she can prove her dad wrong

This book just came out I believe this month I’ve searched High and Low on Amazon and can’t find it. I think it had 9 reviews at the time.

I think it could be “Torn From You” by Nashoda Rose.

Ok, I feel completely shallow right now, but I’m totally judging a book by it’s cover and just Amazon one-clicked Stand Of Honor. Holy crap that cover is HOT! HOT! HOT!

Dara- I am reading that one now and thought the same thing!

Michelle- the first step is admitting you have a problem!!! There’s a bit of shallowness in all all of us when it comes to buying books!! Especially ones that look like that!
