This one almost sounds like a scene out of Karina Halle’s “Sins & Needles” but instead of woods, it was the Vegas strip… so my guess is probably not right.
Do you guys know which book Stacy is looking for?
Stacy asks:
“I read a short teaser for an upcoming book release (on a blog I think) and can’t remember the name of the book or author. I’m hoping you will know after I describe it. It was a short scene with a man and woman who are being chased in their car by “bad guys”. They are being shot at and end up ditching their car and running through a wooded area. The woman is able to shot one of the guys and they eventually loose the bad guys in the woods.
That’s all I can remember. Do you know what book this would be that is coming out soon?”
Anyone?
Here are some reader suggestions:
- PoughkeepsieΒ by Debra Anastasia
- Search Me by Katie AshleyΒ – expected release date June 30th 2013Β <— sidenote from Maryse: I’m also thinking it’s this one!
- Jason Stoneβs story by Abbi Glines (Jax’s brother)
Poughkeepsie?? But that’s been out a while so not sure if it’s the one you’re looking for.
I think that is Katie Ashley’s book Search me that is coming out this summer.
It is the next Abbi Glines book —- about Jax’s brother
Hey Stacy,
It might be my book, Search Me, coming in June. Lane and Maddox are in a car chase through the back GA woods, and even though she’s a prissy ballet dancer, lol, she does shoot one of the bad guys.
Here’s the teaser from Literati Literature Lovers.
Wasn’t there a scene in Sins & Needles where they had to ditch their car and run through the woods to get to an abandoned hotel?
Could be Fighting For Flight by Jamie Salisbury….there is a chase and Vegas and Shooting and bad guys π
Great Story btw
Hi Katie & Maryse,
Thanks so much for your help! Katie – it was your book Search Me that I had read the teaser about. I’m really looking forward to reading this one and I’ve added it to my TBR list. Have a great weekend everyone!
It’s not Poughkeepsie, if that helps. π
LOL!! π
Great blog! It’s gotten me interested in some books I might not otherwise read. Thanks!
