Heather is looking for this one (actually Heather is trying to help another reader)! 😀 It almost sounds like a recent highly recommended comedy office romance that I read with a lot of high jinx… that I remember. Definitely a scene in the elevator. 😉
Someone posted this in another fb group – and then someone else tagged your group as a good way to help figure it out! This is what the original person posted, and now I really want to read that book but can’t figure it out haha.
I read a book a while ago, but can’t remember the author or title. Can you help me find it?
It starts with two colleagues talking about the boss and the rumours of his huge package. They are in a lift/elevator. They walk out into the lobby and he hears their conversation. (Not sure if she knows he heard then)
She is his assistant I think and when there is a meeting he is a bit of a perfectionist and like the food layer out in a certain way.
I think there is also a conversation he over hears through the wall of his office.
They may also have sex for the first time on his desk.
Any ideas? I know it’s a long shot.
Does anyone have a guess?
Barb: These two books are just a guess because there are some similarities. The first is By a Thread (Lucy Score) and the other is Tempt the Boss (Natasha Madison). Lol, who doesn’t love a grumpy boss?
Heather: Thanks Barb! It’s not By A Thread, but I really loved that book! Can’t remember if I’ve read Tempt The Boss. Will check it out!
Jan: I think it might be Beautiful Secret by Christina Lauren.
Maryse: Okay MY GUESS is Mister McHottie by Pippa Grant. I read this one a few years ago, and there were pranks, and hijinks, glitter bombs on her bosses chair, (plus her two unruly brothers that I think were hockey players). And a love hate thing between her and her boss (but they couldn’t stop “doing it”). 😉 LOL! Anyway, that’s my guess. Am I right?
