Kellie needs our book help! Ohhh we had a recent question that sounded like this one (at first, anyway) ’cause she was struggling with grief over losing her mother.
She asks:
I was wondering if you or your readers will remember the name of a romance series that starts with a woman who was assaulted by a guy she liked and dealt with it by hitting up bars and ONS.
She goes away to college with her best friend where she tries to straighten herself out but meets the MMC who happens to be her best friend’s boyfriend’s friend as well as cousin to her attacker (she doesn’t know that last part yet).
She tries to treat the MMC as casual but he wants more. Her best friend and her best friend’s boyfriend both get pissed at her for how she treats him.
I know basically the whole story by heart but can’t remember character names or the book titles.
They do get married in another book in the series and one of her friends she works with sleeps with some player at their wedding. There is some MMC OW drama where his ex comes back and tries to mess things up.
If you or anyone can help I would appreciate it. So would my brain!

Kellie: I know. I searched Google for 4 days before I tried this blog. I felt that Google should’ve been enough I put less info in the past and got what I was looking for. I know that when the MMCs ex shows up at his gym his friend is suspicious but when he runs into her at the MMCs house he punches the MMC in the face. Oh and when the friend who the FMC works with at a rape shelter sleeps with the player after the wedding she gets pregnant and there’s a book in the series (I think it’s the last book) that just focuses on those two). GAH, why can’t I remember their names! I remember everything else.
Lisa: It sounds like an old C A Harms book, called Toxic the series was called Desired Affliction (maybe), but I don’t think it’s available now.
