Eb needs our help!! She remembers a crazy heartbreaking scene, that I KNOW if you’ve read this book, you’ll know it. This book sounds like it could be unforgettable, and now I’m dying to know which one it is!
Be warned, though she only remembers a specific scene, it could be spoiler-ish. But to me, it just made me want to read this story.

I am looking for a book I read a long tome ago. I cannot remember the details of the book, but I remember one scene, where, the heroine watched a school bus crash into a lake.

She rushes out of her car and dives into the lake to rescue the children, but she does not save everybody.
While she was doing this people were standing around taking pictures and videotaping her. Later in the story, she says that there was a movie made about her life/event and she was offered money by the media to share her story, but she did not take.
Any ideas?
