Mandy is looking for this book! And LOL!! At first she only gave me ONE tidbit and it was a small one. Luckily she came back with a bit more info, so *fingers crossed* that someone might know it. 😉
P.S. Her question prompted me to tell my own “real life” blast from the past story, below, that really matches this!!
She asked:
Mandy: Help I can’t think of a name of a book! It has the song I remember you by skid row! It was such an amazing book 😉 even though I can’t remember the details…
Maryse: Oh boy… that might be a hard one. Any details at all? Even if they’re vague? LOL!!!
Mandy: Ha! That’s the problem!! How can I remember that small detail and not remember the story!? And by the way I’m way to excited you emailed me back! Absolutely love you!
Ok back to book.
I know they were together when they were younger. Then later ran back into each other. Some reason I feel like the story was from both of their point of view. Yep probably still not helping. The “I remember you” was their song.
Thanks for trying to help. I’m at a google search loss 🤣
Maryse: I love you back!! You just made my day. LOL!! And we’re on it… I shall post it now.
And OMG funny side note. MY BLAST FROM THE PAST true story:
When I was 16, towards the end of the summer, I found out that I was moving to another province (and starting at a new high school). Essentially leaving behind my current high school friends and my home town friends to start somewhere new (with my parents of course).
I was both excited (basically was going home again to my entire HUGE family that lived there), and sad because I’d be without my friends. And… without my boyfriend.
And on my last night there, we both sat in the car together, on a double date with MY best friend and HIS best friend (that became a couple after that night), and we cried. And then “I Remember You” came on the radio and OMG it was so painful. That essentially become all of “our song” that night. I’ll never forget it. Bittersweet.
On a happy note, I loved my new life in my new province and high school and being so near my family, so all’s well that ends well! Though I never forgot any of my friends, and thankfully we are – for the most part – all connected on Facebook again. 😀
Okay so… that was another “romance blast from the past” from me (which sort of almost sounds like this story that Mandy is looking for) so…
Do you know it? Or have a guess?
Mandy: Love when songs make you remember the past!❤️
Jean: This is a longshot, but could it be I Remember You by Scarlett Metal (it’s an old one)……the description sounds like it could be…..and some of the reviews talk about the song from their high school days that he later sings to her.
Hi everyone! Been a long time!!
Mandy: No sorry that’s not it. But thanks so much for trying!
