Oh YAY!!!! I know this one and it’s from one of my favorite authors and it’s one of her latest. *squee* I love when I can answer them, myself!
Hannah asks:
Hi Maryse,
I’ve been following your blog for a while and I’m pretty sure it was on here that I saw a recommendation for a book I’m now trying to find.Β I’d love to read the book again but can not for the life of me remember what it was called.
From what I remember it started with a young woman meeting her dad in a restaurant discussing her career.Β She was an actress but couldn’t get much work anymore because of some scarring from an accident a few years before.Β They were arguing and a random guy in the booth behind came to her rescue pretending to be her boyfriend.Β They hit it off and decided to meet up again each year for 5 years I think (she was moving across the country the next day and had vowed to not have a boyfriend until she was a certain age).
There were some pretty big plot twists if I can remember correctly. I’d love to reread it so would be really grateful if you have any suggestions of what the book might be, I’m sure I saw it here on your blog!
Thanks π
Maryse: You bet, Hannah!! It was Colleen Hoover’sΒ November 9Β (<— my review). Great read!! π
Hannah:Β Thank you so much. Β I’ve been desperate to reread it and it was driving me mad not knowing what it was!
I just read November 9th 2 weeks ago and loved it!! Not sure why I waited so long!
It was good! π
Is it The Crossroads Cafe – which I loved, BTW…..
Ok. Never mind – just read the description. Other than the “scarred actress” this is not your book. But Crossroads Cafe really WAS a good book!
Good to know, MichelleS!!! I LOVE those kinds. π
