Sue just sent me this question, and from her description, I know that I haven’t read it. Have you? Does anyone have an idea?
Maryse,
There is this book I read a while back and have forgotten it’s name. Β Maybe you can help me with finding out what Β it is.There was an underground area where they could go to the other side and retrieve a valuable gem or stone. Β But it was done secretly by the government. Β The idea of the team was to stop the so called bad people from coming to this side.
There was of course… a love interest from the other side.
If you can help I would really appreciate it.
Thank You
Sue
I have a feeling it’s paranormal due to her inclusion of “the other side”.
Laura: I think she may be talking about Alexis Morganβs Paladin series ,there are several books so Iβm not sure which one it would be.
Susie:Β the paladins are what came to my mind as well. https://www.alexismorgan.com/books/paladins.html
they were in underground caves constantly fighting the others who would cross the barriers which were always on fault lines and there was a traitor on this side of the barrier and there was something about blue gems or stones, then they had to go to the other side for something and they ended up goin up some dark river on a boat pulled by some creatures.
itβs been a while since i read them so sorry if the description is crude.
Danielle: I was thinking the Paladins series myself. About to read book #6. Good series.
Maryse: From the Facebook comments: Jennifer said: βa Gena Showalterβs Jewel of Atlantis maybe.β
Scamp: Sounds like Atlantis, thereβs the jewel of Atlantis one by gena showalter
Brandy: Yeah I was going to say it sounds like the Atlantis series by gena showalter. The Jewel of Atlantis I think is the one. I just read it a few months back.
Becks: i agree with scamp Jewel of Atlantis
Lisa: Amulet By S.Wolf good read . A boy helps a old man, old man pays him with this neckless . He puts it on and becomes invisiable than his fun starts.
Vicky: Another series that comes to mind is by Rebecca York. The werewolf series takes a turn into another dimension accessed through caves and I seem to remember a valuable stone. Β All in all I agree the book Sue is looking for is probably in the Paladin series.

Thanks very much guys!! I’ve sent the post link to the reader who asked, and hopefully she’ll let me know which suggestion (if any) it ended up being.
